Very nice vehicles. The crossfire kit looks great too. The wife was watching the video over my shoulder. I said "eh love, that's how we should pimp out the Land Cruiser " she just gave me the look lol. Seriously though, got bogged down in flood water silt after Cyclone Gabrielle hit NZ. Having an axe and shovel on board saved the day. I was able cut up some wood to make a track and dig out the wheels. Saved me a fortune in towing fees. An often overlooked hygiene issue - latrines, another good reason for having a shovel on board.

Those are killer builds. I can appreciate where you are coming from pointing out that most guys try to make one vehicle do both jobs, but like you said in your “what gear do you need video” you should cover your needs not the next cool thing someone on the internet is trying to sell you. Last time I checked I can only drive one vehicle at a time so mixing and matching is the only way to make it work, that is why I picked a truck over an SUV. Keep up the good work friend.

Great video not many people in the community touch on vehicles so this is good to see. Another thing not many people touch on is radios so it would be brilliant to see some stuff on that. I love your shit dude keep up the good work.

Love this video and these builds, very well thought out. However I feel the need to add something. While I adore older Jeeps, I must say a pickup truck build is arguably more utilitarian as we've seen in various 3rd world conflicts (I would love to see a pickup truck version of this vid) considering it can be set up for various purposes like troop transportation, logistics, gun truck, anti-air duty, anti-tank duty, improvised armored vehicle, recon and even as agricultural machines on a long term campsite. I do believe both SUV's and trucks are necessary platforms for any fighting force, and the Jeep is arguably better suited for long range recon in difficult terrain, but as far as general utility nothing beats out an old truck.

Don't forget to make a real, thick metal plate on the bottom of your gas tank. We installed those on all our vehicles for cheap insurance when they got used.

I do recommend a companion to go with the axe one of those foldable hand saws great bit of kit. Ok for logs up to 6 or 8 inch anything after that whip the chain saw out but more to the point there quite 👍

Would love to see your take on comms, individual and team/vehicle equipment specifics, how they're setup and used. Not really a fan of Jeeps until now, always been die hard Toyota.

Fun video and great looking rigs but shouldn't the rigs be in context to: where are you bugging out too? My wife and I live in a medium size southern city and during covid lockdown, we bought some land an hour and a half away on a remote portion of a reservoir. This is to ensure no matter what, we have fresh water and catfish! So our bug out rigs are to get to our lake cabin. In a SHTF situation, crazy to go it alone so we have invited another couple to share the cabin, helps that he's a retired green beret and my long range shooting instructor.

Both need emp protection, esd shielding, aramid panels, and radiator protection. Size your engine and suspension to that and keep your key in a shield too so your transponder isnt copied sureptitiously.

Beautiful set ups with the Jeeps. But, that fuel stored on the outside. Maybe not so bad on the sustainment vehicle, but on the fighter? And it's petrol, not diesel? Regardless, I am envious.

Good vid, but Rubicons are a joke here, good for the two or three months a year they're not in the shop. Seriously, I've never seen a vehicle have so many reliability issues.
