3:13. Thank you for saying that. People are so annoying with that "if it had this and had that, it would be better." As if they cannot comprehend the concept of affordability.

I bought the 2024 LT trim back in January 2024 (financed $25,600 after a $2,000.00 down payment) and it has been a pleasant experience driving this vehicle. Just handed it over to my daughter who has just got her first job and started attending college as well.

I have a 2025 Activ in Marina Blue with the sunroof package, driver's confidence package, and convenience package. There's not much that is missing. It doesn't have ventilated seats, which I wouldn't expect at the price point. It also doesn't have a lane keeping assist that drives itself. It will help one back into the lane, but it lets it drift too much before correcting. Overall, I really love it. Its quiet, comfortable, and has great features for the price. The 3 cylinder is surprising. It has plenty of power for every day driving and cruises effortlessly at highway speeds. Around town it's a hair less refined than some of the 4 cylinders and V6 vehicles I've driven, but it's still smooth. Again, that's a price point thing. It's better than anything else I drove in the under $30K range.

Awesome vid Tom! That view of the Horse Shoe casino is literally golden! Ok Chevy 👀 very eco friendly 137hp 162lb not bad. Hey where’s Carey?? Just realized he’s not there😂

Thank you! I've had to go back to making videos by myself because it just isn't the right time to have two people right now. Hopefully that will change at some point in the future future.

Good review. My boss has one trim level down in the same color. I was very impressed when my wife test drove one. She loved it as well but decided to go with a Tucson SE as she needed more cargo capacity.

"...in case someone wanted to drop the hammer on 137 hp." Too funny! Sure, it would be nice if they'd created an SS version with the old 2.0L w/270 hp; but if you live where I do, drive in commuter traffic twice a day, you simply don't have the opportunity to fully enjoy it. And what fun is it just to beat the car next to you to the next red light over and over? At my age I simply want something which is still somewhat fun to drive, can economically make a weekend trip out for a ride and dinner, and not have to stop twice for gas. Sure, I'd still like that extra horsepower, something sportier, and something that could garner your attention with the rumble of a big V8 engine, but why limit myself to a seasonal vehicle here in the north if I can just have something simple and sporty looking that I can afford to drive all year long. Oh, and yes, up here that those heated seats and steering wheel are very welcome on a winter's morning!

Keep an eye on the oil tube coming out of the turbo. It’s behind the heat shield and cooks the oil and plugs up the turbo. That turbo is over $1700

Nice review. Exact color 1RS I'm getting. Mine is a 24 though. STILL waiting, it's somewhere this side of Iowa still on a train? I'm in PA. Others have their 25's already.☹️😡 You forgot about all 25's are E85 compatible. No big deal, you'll lose 15-25% MPG. E85 isn't 25% cheaper.
@josephhall73173 ай бұрын
Where I'm at in Illinois, the quad cities, regular is about $3.60 on the Illinois side, E85 is about $2.90, $2.50 across the bridge

One of the better looking vehicles out there. Good job Chevy. I'm keeping my 2024 Kia Forte GT however.

How difficult for an older person to get in/out of the trax..do you drop down into the seats like a sedan? since it is lower in height than most suv's..seems more like a hatchback or station wagon
@josephhall73173 ай бұрын
You don't just drop in, you can adjust it however you'd like but I just got the 2025, it's not too low though, I'm 6'5 and don't have to like lean down or anything to get in
@Santor-2 ай бұрын
No, the seat height is why its so perfect! Its lower than most suvs, but higher then a sedan. One don't sit down nor up, just -in. It's actually the perfect balance on the question of height. Its much wider than most small suvs, and slightly lower, so its just perfect really. More stable, and looks great. Anazing rear seat legeoom. Everything on the car is larger than youd expect in this price range, except the trunk, farly small. The adaptive cruise control and lane change system works really good too. We love it! We have V8 and V6 cars too, but this thing is da bomb for the price! Fast chargers/turbopower charging outlets too.

I bought a black 2025 1RS model for my daughter who just got her license. It also had a couple equipment upgrades. With dealer incentives and my supplier discount I got it for less than the price of the base model. I think it'll be a great first car for her. The delaer also included a lifetime powertrain warranty so I'm not too concerned about the 3 cylinder engine and whether it'll hold up long term. Considering she will drive it less than prolly 5k miles a year I think it's perfect for the price and what you get. Great review

If you're concerned about the rubber wet timing belt in the engine degrading or snapping too soon, delay its degradation by: Getting an oil change at 1000 miles (get rid of those break-in metal shavings), at 3000 miles, and then at every 5000 miles after that Keep the oil topped off - check it every week. If it's darker than usual, get an oil change! Get the belt inspected at around 40k-50k miles. I got a 2024 LT trim a few days ago - I like it more each day. I like the front end stylings. Crimson Metallic, yum.

Like the R/S ... we ended up with the L/T model, had a few more bells an whistles like the USB ports for the back seat, an cargo cover comes with the L/T ... money was close about $200 difference.

Yes of course Tom & I buy a new Trax 1 day.
@Santor-2 ай бұрын
Im mega impressed with the trax. We got a 2RS, and also have a 2011 V8 camaro SS. Except brute power, everything else is 20 times better on the Trax. I never thought I would say that, but its true.

You mentioned that if driven properly the engine should be reliable. Can you describe how reliable? 3 cylinder turbo has me worried about its longevity.
@lifehouseone5 ай бұрын
The engine has been around for a while in Korea and has been proven to be very reliable
@josephhall73173 ай бұрын
@@lifehouseonedid those engines also have the wet timing belts by any chance? Serious question, because I got a 2025 black LT just a week ago and didn't know that it didn't have a regular timing chain/ belt until a couple days ago

Like the rims better on the 1RS but like the digital dash and infotainment and push button start and 19 inch rims on the 2RS. Is the 2RS worth the difference in price? P.S. The wet timing belt are good for 150,000 miles so I wouldn't be to worried about that...Just my take but I would buy either one🤷🏻♂
