Dashie41 Word, easily... I came back to this review to see what he had said about it, bc for some reason I thought I remembered him saying it was great.. I actually just FINALLY got around to this, after what, almost a year? But better late than never bc I am LOVING it. Maybe with another two dozen listens I might think it’s a 7, but I doubt it. I love Code Orange too, they’re my current fav hometown band, but goddamnit he’s so wrong putting Vein below them! Ppl in some comments are saying CO don’t hold a candle to these guys, and while I disagree with that, I easily like this album as much as ‘Forever’, and could even see this passing up that album... Anyway, I know this comment is ancient, but yeah... this is a strong 8, no doubt!

Yeah, this album is brilliant, I'd even give it a 9. I just keep returning to it. Listening to it feels like some kind of an aggressive, virus infected, dirty machine is trying to override my brain and every song is a different kind of malware designed to specifically attack one part of it. A medicore album would never have such a strong effect on me.

I've been watching Fantano here and there for a while now and the dude simply does not know music as much as he or his audience claims he does. Errorzone brilliantly blends the last 20 years of their heavy music influences onto one album with absolute ease creating a sound that is completely their own. This band's sound is a "dime a dozen"? Who? Who else is doing what Vein did with their debut right now? Even Code Orange couldn't manage to blend their alternative influence within the rest of their sound which left a few tracks from Forever (Bleeding in the Blur, for example) sounding like they belong on an entirely different album. Meanwhile, Errorzone flows phenomenally as each sound weaves in and out of each other in a way that NO OTHER BAND CAN MATCH right now. His review is so out of touch that it's comical.

Capt Noah It seems to be a fan favorite for sure but it actually happens to be my least favorite track. That said, the entire album shreds so it's still a track I really enjoy. Derpthony Derptano, on the other hand, can't seem to decide whether or not it's a "best track of the week", a "fire teaser" or his least favorite track on an album he rated 6/10.

Deserves more IMO... The band is so ahead of the curve in hardcore... Code Orange does more experimentation and unique variation with their sound, but it's a completely different sound, more djenty mathcore, more alt rock elements and cleans. It's not even close to the same nightmarish agression and energy of Vein. Errorzone is one of the best hardcore albums of all time.

Still love your content, but Code Orange is not doing anything better than this. That band was crazy hype for a few years and died (to me at least) just as quickly as it came. This album is awesome, the cover art explains perfectly how the music sounds. It is hard hitting, fast paced fun. I like how the title track kind of gives the album time to breathe eith its melodic sounds.Vein proves that if you take a breakdown, but add harmomics on it, it makes it 10x more heavy. Vein is paving the way for more hardcore music and im all for it. 8/10

I actually know exactly what you mean. There were a lot of parts on this album that made me go “I feel like I’ve heard this before.” But there are a few tracks that’ll definitely make me come back to this band. One, oddly enough, being “Untitled.” I’m a sucker for stacked fifth chords and those clean vocals were WAY more interesting than the reverbed-out drones scattered throughout the album.

It's a good album. The ubiquitous "It's Converge meets Korn meets Slipknot" argument is really short-sighted. But I do generally feel that this whole nu-metal thing is a direct reponse to the equally short-lived emo/skramz fad. But these guys definitely have the chops to outlive the trends, whichever way it goes.

Anthony, I'd like to ask you for a Sepultura's "A-lex" album. I think it's worth listening, new set of members in this band did a social commentary musically covering a "Clockwork Orange". Give it a try, seriously.
