As a productdesigner I have to admit that these are one of the best looking shoe i have ever seen and i dont mean only weightlifting shoes ;) great choice and layering of materials. Even the logo is great on this otherwise very minimalist shoes. Looks great with the engraving too! Unfortunately I don't use weightlifting shoes anymore :( Btw. cool minimalist silent video intro too!

You are bang on with this review. So far my experience with the shoes has been good but they are my first pair of Oly shoes FWIW. I thought I would add... I backed them on Kickstarter, funding was over at the end of 2017 and they were were set to arrive in March or April of 2018. They did not arrive until late June. For that reason, they sent their early backers a second pair in the white colorway for FREE. The cost was $180ish to fund on Kickstarter. The shoe is by no means wide. I can get away with a 10.5s sometimes 11s in training shoes but had to send the initial order of 11s back in exchange for 11.5s. There was room in the toe box but the upper was too narrow. The double thick toe crease thing is annoying and the crease looks worse after use. The shoes are hot but the clean lines would take a hit with venting everywhere. I think the strap is going to crap out pretty quick. They are super stable and sound awesome when they hit the platform.

I love the aesthetics of these shoes. My only concern is the cost and I’d love if they could make the logo blend into the show (ie black on black instead of gray on Black). As always, great review.

Agree with a lot of your aspects in this review. I own a pair myself, and tbh what really separates it from my legacys is the natural feel the heel-to-toe drop has. It just feels natural and makes it easier imo to root your feet in while squatting. That alone honestly makes this shoe that much better than the legacies imo.

I agree with your take on the little fly-wire like things on the instep of the shoe. Why put them there besides for JUST aesthetic reasons? Tbh the shoe probably looks better without them. If they were actually fly-wire like tech then definitely would be worth the look.

I’ve owned Legacy, and a couple of other lifters. The Romaleos 2 are by far the greatest shoe I’ve ever used. Hands down.
