Watching wonderful bear cam in 2023. This is such a heartwarming gift, which is perfect timing, as 901 has lost one of her three cubs n we're all grieving - but seeing this little cubby come out of nowhere from the past.... well, it just hit the spot. Does anyone reading this know who they were/are? I can only imagine that little cubby as a grown boar. TYSM 4 this.

We were so fortunate to be at Brooks Falls in 2015 when this pair arrived at the falls for the very first time. The cub was so tiny and scared. He clung to his mother like he was attached to her, hence the name Velcro. He later grew into a strong and feisty cub and is still thriving today as an emancipated sub-adult. It was such a privilege to have witnessed the arrival and the bond these two shared.

Kelly Basil-These are bear 273 and Velcro(809-son). The 273 came back with 3 spring cubs in 2019. However, I don’t think anyone has spotted Velcro in 2019. Velcro should been soon an adult boar(5) and I hope he is healthy and doing well on his own.
