The translation is missing a bit here and there, which can lead to confusion or misunderstanding, but the point is there - back then it was a comedy, a stereotypes put to abnormal measures for fun and - as per your reaction - people can actually laugh at them. Glad you enjoyed.

I love the fact you are not offended with the racist elements in that episode. I just want to emphasize we are not racists here in Poland, we do not have any colonial or slavery history. We are just very homogeneous society, basically Slavic whites only. Yet 20 years ago seeing a Black or Asian person in Poland was very hard. It doesn’t mean that we had some problem with that. It just wasn’t discussed here as there was no reason for that. I am white, but I have a black family member who was born here. I have never heard that he had any problems with the way he looks. When it comes to Germans, it is quite a different story, but still, we do not want to kill them ;) We are simply not quite ok with the fact that they used to kill us. Like hundreds of thousands of people.

yeah but in history poland was not homogeneous at all. there were a lot of jews, ukrainians, russians, germans, lithuanians, roma people and many many more. not to mention highlanders and kashubians. moreover we were one of a very few countys that wasn't killing people because of religion during the counter reformation in XVI century.

The captions don't do a very good job of translating this. He doesn't say the word "different", which is a pretty neutral word, he actually uses a word that has stronger negative connotations (the dictionary translates it as "dissenter" but I'm not sure it's the right translation either). This word sounds similar to vaccine in Polish, that's why he started talking about vaccines out of nowhere.

Yeah, those subtitles are terrible. The dialogue here is full of puns and word play and I don't even see how it would be translatable to English. Almost all jokes are lost in translation.

Well to fully understand you must know the premise of this episode. Black and German cop are visitors from officer exchange program and commander of the precinct ordered his subordinates to make good impression. So they try so hard to suppres all the stereotypes that it goes other way round (like in the game-dont think of polar bear) and situation escalate quickly

Actually, "different" doesn't capture the nuance of the word "odszczepieniec" (used at the beginning). The Polish word has negative connotations. It's used more like "dissenter", "renegade", "traitor" and "heretic", but it's not incorrect when used in context of the skit too.
