100 degrees! Glad I'm traveling the coast. I just got a spot with some wifi so I'm watching the replay. I had a wonderful 3 day meet up with a Coachmen FB group in Oregon, some I met in Quartzsite last Jan. Now I am on my own again and keeping an eye out for a puppy. I'm meeting all kinds of dogs/breeds along the way...just met a Beaglier, 1/2 Beagle 1/2 Cavalier King Charles. Have a good week!

I have a Webasto heater that was easy to install under my third seat in the back. The seat unlocks and can be tilted forward or removed. I thought about getting rid of the seat, but my brother visits quite often and the seat is perfect for him as a third passenger.

Makin' sparks! That got red hot! One key point with diesel heaters, make sure you let the heater run completely through its shutdown sequence. If not, you will have carbon build up issues. Also, some are not setup for high elevation (5000 feet or above) without modification. Also creates carbon buildup. I have had to open up and clean out a few.

Thank you Tim great points. This Velit is supposed to perform great at higher elevations but for certain... time will tell.

😳🥵😳 at least the views of the install were cool! 😉 These types of heating solutions are a very cost effective way to get a comfy temp in the can.

totally agree and the Velit is very reasonably priced.

That doesn’t look like a difficult thing to install, I’m not in the cold enough, yet. Nice instructions of how to install, as always.

How far away does the exhaust need to be from the fresh air intake to prevent carbon monoxide from being pumped into the van? Should the exhaust be placed away from doors/windows to prevent carbon monoxide from entering the van?
@JonniesJourney2 ай бұрын
The hoses are less than 2 feet long each. I take them both in a different direction. It is ideal to keep away from a door but I always vent to the edge of the van so it does not exhaust under the van. Always keep doors closed when the heater is running. Hope this answers your questions

Did you have to move the inverter on the velit heater to mount it underneath the seat?

No

How do you get the tiny fuel line on to the fuel clip?
@JonniesJourney22 күн бұрын
The velit heater comes with a new clip for the fuel pump. It has a male connector that the rubber hose feeds over. If you heat the small rubber hoses up with warm water, they slide on much better.
