100% Agree with you, He changes his speed dependent on yours. Might it be better to go slower than him and just trail behind and then in the last stretch overtake him?

Kyle Struthers In the last lap on my 50:53 run you can see that I use a strategy where you shoot him before a jump so he lands on the track inbetween (on the Teknee area). So there is a strategy to defeat him. Don't know why I didn't use it here though :/ I haven't succesfully speedrun this game in almost a year, but planning to do it soon.

LoMpE Thanks for replying, I didn’t know that, I’m not a speed runner or anything but I remember playing this game and Velo just constantly ruining me. Good luck with your speed runs, look forward to them! I can only imagine how frustrating it is when RNG ruins you with Velo. Also the fact that you can be constantly boosting and then get overtaken is just bs

Kyle Struthers Yea, Velo is straight up RNG Hell. If you use the strategy on the second lap, he can manage to catch up with you, even if you boost all the time and go as fast as you can :/ I also played this game alot before I began speedrunning and he was a struggle back then too. Thanks for the kind words :)

LoMpE I can only imagine, best of luck with your next speedruns. I know I struggled heavily with beating Krunk back in the day 😂 Let’s just hope Velo is good when you face him.
