I didn’t realise the scope of this operation, impressive, the place is seriously organised. Cool insiders view.

Ritchey and Velo Orange are 2 of my favorite brands solid and super nice bikes/parts to a fair price...
@ronbell7920Ай бұрын
Velo Orange got my old PX-10 better than new! I purchased their drilled crankset, and their awesome bottom bracket! I have purchased their cantilever brakeset for two different tandems, these are heavy duty brakes! I also put Dia-Compe bar end shifters on those tandems as well, they are "bullet proof" and Velo Orange sells the compression washer to restore those shifters if one ever did wear them out. They are a good company to do business with!

Thanks for the tour, I have several bikes with their products.

Very interesting. Much bigger than their previous place. Obviously doing well. They don’t have any pre-built bikes on their site these days, so I suppose it’s all custom builds and parts. The size of the warehouse though is concerning. Of course they have to order batches of production from suppliers, assumedly from one or both of the Chinas, and that has to be stored until shipped. But one wants to keep SKU’s moving, and not storing them.

Good bunch of folks in that shop. I order and then go pick up directly from them for the vybe.

I didn't see the complete rack shown at about 1:54 minutes into the video on their website. The side mounts added to the rack were very interesting.

Best to drop them a message.

The best rides are steel frames , sorry old rider here , the most forgiving rides are on steel frames !
@GravelCyclistАй бұрын
Currently reviewing a steel Officina Battaglin Pave gravel bike. I forgot how nicely steel rides; these newer steel frames are fantastic!
@SurpriseMeJTАй бұрын
Agree. However too many steel bikes today still make poor concessions to modern standards such as tapered carbon steer tubes. Not enough well made steel forks are produced either. I own carbon bikes but ride my steel ones the most.
@fixiedennis989Ай бұрын
@@SurpriseMeJT there are some that make them Tyrant is one of new owners of a brand but I do own steel frames with carbon forks and seat tubes nothing wrong with that , in fact I’ve ridden a couple of my bikes for 12 years now .

I need to go visit, New England not too far from MD, need to try out a few bikes and purchase at least one (or order). They’re so hard to find and try locally, it’s either them or I go to west coast and try somafab and Rivendell.

What model is the green drop-bar road bike in the showroom?

0:38 is a Rando if I'm not mistaken.

Definitely worth a look. BTW when I visit DC and Loudoun County, I typically stay with a friend in Upper Marlboro. Love this area so much, except for the traffic 😀
@hansschotterradler3772Ай бұрын
@@GravelCyclist yep, it's congested here, and driving anywhere sucks depending on where you're going; but I can walk to a supermarket, restaurants, and metro. Surprisingly, Montgomery has a nice system of XC trails. Gravel roads are further away, but the gravel bike works well for bumpy bike trails.

Add a carbon fork option on the new aluminum bike.
