Glad you like the videos! I personally prefer the thumb throttle. I think it will come down to preference. Just seems easier for me.

Picking a high-step up this week. Adding a rear rack above the fender. He said there was a two-year warranty. Assembly was free. Going with the sand color.

I would lean towards the Velotric. You get a nice big modern lcd display. Also get fenders, and the seat is more comfortable.

Nice review, nice looking bike. My questions are 1) is the headlight bright for night riding or would a second accessory light be valuable, 2} does the taillight come on when brakes are applied 3) does the display offer a program that "opens up" the controller to allow speeds in excess of 20 mph

1) A lot of the headlights for the e-bikes I find are not strong enough for me I always supplement it with another light. I use NightRider Lumina 900. 2) This does not come with an illuminated tail light. 3) Not aware of option to override and increase the speed. Thanks for watching!

Nice review! I just purchased the Velotric Nomad as well. I was conflicted between it and their Discover 1, but after a discount code brought the two bikes within $250 of each other, the Nomad was really a no brainer with the fat tires, 750W vs 500W motor, 8 speeds vs 7 speeds, and hydraulic disc brakes vs mechanical disc brakes. My only complaint thus far is that although they advertise eight colors available for the Nomad, that's not really true because the step-thu and high-step models only offer four colors each that are different from each other. I opted for the step-thru design and really wanted the sand or forest green color, but that was only available on their high-step model. Mango will have to do :)

Same here for me on colors. I have a bid knee so I wanted the step thru but I really wanted that green color. I ended up going with sky blue on the step thru. The discounts made it a no brainer for me as well between this and the Discover. Just a note to others. Create an account and put the bike in your cart and leave it there. After a couple of days velotric started sending me coupons. Eventually they sent me a 15% off which brought the bike down to 1274 for me at the time.
