I come back to this specific performance often, as I've done today, when I'm feeling a big way. This is just sheer power. VR may have been a quick flash, but at the time they were unquestionably the best rock band on the planet. Fall to Pieces is one of the most beautiful rock ballads ever written.

All the hype went to Eddie vedder. All the critical acclaim went to Layne, deservedly so. Chris. Scott was overlooked but STP was my low-key favorite. Not just musically but lyrically and vocally. I loved pearl jam but I couldn't ever really relate to the lyrics except for a few songs. Scott's style was so unique. So esoteric. Definitely had some of the most notable lines from the crowded 90s. It's unreal how much better the 90s was, for me at least, then the past two decades for the new generation of young people. And I'm not saying it's all bad, but I think the 90s was the decade of the century musically. We even had a short swing phase. Just so many treasures to find, even for those who lived through it there's always more.
