I wish Scott was still here. Not just for myself but for everyone. I had the pleasure of seeing him pretty close to home. It was family values tour. Late 90s maybe early 2000s. It was static X, staind, Lincoln Park and Stone temple pilots. Amazing line up. We lost a few of these front men in the following years. I also lost my sons Dad who went to the show with me. It stands still as one of the best shows I have ever seen. A sober Scott was impeccable and so was the night. Rest in paradise my rock gods. You are missed.

Actually VR did cover this song. It was an extra track available on special edition of Contraband. It was also on one of their the cd singles s as well. Weiland did perform this with Camp Freddy but I don't think we'll be seeing that anytime soon.

Roxxane D'troyt It's a matter of opinion. I start getting attacked AFTER he dies although I posted it a month or two before. I like the guy, it wasn't a ferocious attack, I just said he come's across like a poser sometimes, it was Axl that called him a fraud. he seemed to showboat a little, that's all. I don't know if I'm talking to a 12 year old or a 60 year old so I've already invested enough energy. i'm sure someone would jump to Justin Beiber's defense as well if I wrecked on him. yeah, but still this is an awesome cover, it holds up to the original very well, now if only they could do more songs like this. I'm not saying rip off cheap trick, this version of surrender and cheap tricks versions are so different that without common lyrics they wouldn't be anything like each other.
