you listened to us! yes, all this music you're doing is much more 1940's than '50s

Brilliant - this works so well.

yes and no...there is no drama, no darkness or edginess in this version

Then you don’t know Lou Reed. He would 100% hate this and the rest of AI garbage.

@@timprescott4634 What I meant was whomever decided to use AI to fuse this music together. Overall, I'm concerned about the impact of AI, but for music, it can be, in the words of Artie Johnson, "Veeeeeeeeeerrrrrrryyyyyyy interesting."

I hate how much I like this. It’s very smart, even if it has no soul or edge. Still, I’m very taken with it.

Mike Flowers Pops did a VU medley in 60s Bob Crewe Style- belongs here as well

The Mike Flowers version is astonishingly good. He also did a Bowie medley that is worth tracking down.

It's allll in the arrangement, honey. I wonder what Lou Reed would think? It would be appropriate for Billie Holliday, though.

Absolutely works perfectly. These lyrics could've appeared as a raunchy "race record" of the type issued on OKEH records.

Fun fact: if this were made in 1940, then it would need to be on a 12 inch 78 rpm vinyl record, since a 10 inch would only allow for about 3 minutes per side.
@davidserlin80972 күн бұрын
That’s not fun. Appreciate it, but not fun.

If it were made in 1940 it would be on shellac, vinyl records weren’t commercially introduced until 1948 and debuted at 33 1/3.
