Go Sam. With these fast and maybe brittle in extremis boats, it feels like this GV is a battle of attrition. Who can push hardest for longest, and what’s going to break.

Yes! that is the Vendee Globe.

Notice how the main sheet is loose and the traveler is sliding back and forth. I think the boat has two main sheets. one to pull the main up and one to pull the main down. I don't think they use a regular vang.
