Thanks Mike, I've watched a number of your videos and they've helped me secure a new PM role. This role will require me to manage and work closer with vendors so this video is really timely. Coming from an old fashioned background of customer versus vendor it's really made me think about how I can promote the trust, transparency and collaborative working to create a value partnership. @@RWarrior777 There's a limit to what help I can offer, but what help do you feel you need? Or are you asking the difference? Procurement = managing the process of securing the right contract with the right vendor. Vendor management = managing the relationship with a vendor after the contract is signed.

What’s vendor ?

A vendor is someone who sells something. We use the term interchangeably with 'supplier'. Project b=vendors include suppliers of materials, equipmemt, hardware, or software. Also consulting and other professional services firms.
