@@EchtMartijn we have explained it. KZbin is killing the average view per video the more videos we release. It was either fire part of the team, which we don't want to do, or put the videos behind the paywall to avoid affecting the algorithm negatively. This is such an amazing story. I mostly study World War I and World War II, but older medieval history is also interesting too, especially the Crusades . Amazing how the Venetian navy clashed with the Muslim navies in a battle between one of the most important religious powers of the time. Love how King and Generals showed how important strategy and tactics are when it comes to wining wars. Every battle and siege changes history.

That would be somewhat understandable in the case of Byzantium, but what the meek Catholic populace of Hungary's Zara castle have done against Venice except having some loot? :D And in this video too, Venice organizes a crusade, then stops for a year to besiege some fort on Corfu on the way for its own gains until its own crusaders start deserting and the crusader states message them that it would be nice if they finally did some, you know, crusading stuff :D Lol I think there are a number of more devout and zealous Christians nowadays than there were in Venice back then and hey, then it was the norm that everyone is just a heathen-bashing fananatic zealot

In my opinion Venice is a remnant of Rome. Its historical origins, architectural influence, cultural richness, political heritage, and integration with Roman culture all contribute to its undeniable connection to Rome. Venice's foundation in response to the fall of the Western Roman Empire, its resemblance to Roman urban planning and architecture, its inheritance of Roman cultural and artistic traditions, its development as an independent city-state with a similar political system, and its integration into the Roman province of Venetia et Histria all highlight its role as a remnant of Rome. In fact Venice is not just a remnant, but a vibrant embodiment of Rome's influence, preserving its legacy through the ages.

According to Andalusian sources in 499 AH or 1105 AD, a Crusader fleet of 70 ships perished due to a storm near Sicily. the fleet came from the Western Sea, meaning the Atlantic Ocean. It is likely that they were Nordic or English Years later, between 1107 and 1111 AD, a Norwegian fleet came to the Holy Land In 507 AH or 1113 AD, a Crusader fleet departed from France containing hundreds of ships and +150,000 fighters according to Ibn Adhari, was completely destroyed by a stotm and those in it perished .

Why you used the turkish termin ermen while at that time it was called Shah-Armens
@KingsandGenerals
@KingsandGenerals 24 күн бұрын
Because it wasn't the Armenian controlled territory. Various Turkoman emirs ruled that region and they were collectively known as Ermenshahs or Ahlatshahs.

@@KingsandGenerals yes the rulers werent Armenians but the territory that they ruled it was part Armenia and they knew that, thats why they claim theirselves as Shah-Armens (rulers of Armenians)

I find it impressive that private military orders carved out their own sovereign states back in the Middle Ages. The only thing similar to that nowadays, are the military mercenaries, Wagner virtually ruling much of Niger and Black Water running Southern Yemen likes it is its own fief.

A Taliban spokesman told the BBC they imposed the ban because of the harmful effects of opium - which is taken from the poppy seed capsules - and because it goes against their religious beliefs. Afghanistan used to produce more than 80% of the world's opium. Heroin made from Afghan opium makes up 95% of the market in Europe

Crusaders hold the Most Humiliating military defeat in human history. They lost a whooping 11 successive major wars (2nd to 12th Crusade) against the Muslims spanning few centuries. There will be no other army that will lose 11 successive major wars against the same opponent.

Fatimid fleet and pirates is not vulnerable and used to dominate east Mediterranean and frequently raided the south coast of europe They have no intention to rescue tyre they clashed with ventian fleet for few hours and withdraw with almost no losses ..at that time Venetians and Crusader do not have cannons fire ,riffles and modern weapons Iron armor is worn by the wealthy Crusaders, and they are few. However, most of the Crusaders are lightly armed and are not accustomed to fighting under the hot sun, and they have no advantage at all

If not for the Turks(Seljuks and their atabegs, Mamluks and later Ottomans) you Arabs would have been doomed. Stop making excuses for militarily incompetent Fatimids.
