Big Will gave them EVERYTHING they needed except wandering around Greyhound's campsite for a couple of days that a troop of boy scouts could have dome the exact same thing and found all the same evidence. Big Will should have gotten a commendation from the Clark County Sheriff's Office AND the Mayor of Las Vegas AND a security job at one of the casinos for his heroism on this case. Imagine how many dudes would not have done anything.

I worked 25 years in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Most inmates at this level of criminality are gang members who have done despicable acts, normally, in the name of "this is the business we're in." But in my estimation, about 10 to 15 percent of the murderers I came across were exceptionally bright, well mannered, and educated individuals who clearly had other options available to them. At the root of their behavior was an excessive sense of narcissism. In private conversations those who found Faith would say to me, essentially, "I can't believe what I have done that put me in this place." One inmate I knew who was a former UC San Diego mathematician, regularly, used to quote a favorite INXS song by saying to me, "You know Big Dog, 'Every single on of us is the Devil Inside.'" Since meeting him 30 years ago, I have developed a keener understanding of human behavior--and it has served me well. Thanks for reading.

My father used to bring home all kinds of lowlifes because he used them to work for next to nothing at the house. I came to visit my Dad one night when I was 19 there was a terrible smell coming from living room. I walked in and a scraggy looking guy, with one normal eye,one eye totally white colored. filthy clothes greasy stringy hair,With a baby blanket wrapped around his stinking bare feet,my Stepmother & my Father left this bum to babysit my two stepsisters age 6 & 9 yrs old. I was shocked,sickened and very angry. I had seen Dave now & then doing laundry,cleaning up dog sh** outside in the yard.doing any lousy job my Dad or stepmother was not willing to do. Needless to say I threw Dave out into the street, checked on my step sisters & waited for my Dad to return. This was 89 so no cell phones,etc. he finally came back 12 noon the following day. I missed work,etc waiting for them. I called the dept. of social services the next day nothing came of it sadly. I did not live there but I tried to call attention to it. When he married this woman after divorcing my Mother. this woman he married who was 21 and had a 6 & 9 yr old says it all..

Maybe circumstances that the sister had made her unable to raise Maddy. Didn't the sister live in Tennessee and this story took place in Vegas? Maybe George's sisters lived close by and they had kids as well and it would be in better interest for Maddy to be raised closer to cousins / kids her age etc. There was probably more family in Vegas rather than where the sister lived. Since we don't know the reasons why Maddy is living with her paternal grandmother we really shouldn't judge. Maddy is a lucky young lady to have family able to love, raise her in an environment that's suitable for her, surrounded by family that love and care about her.

Big Will is a great man. Finding out that someone you've been trying to help has just murdered someone must be heartbreaking. He did the right thing. George manipulated a vulnerable human being to do his dirty work for him, and I wouldn't be surprised if his next move was to do away with his patsy. I bet he just figured, "who's gonna miss a crazy homeless person?" What a piece of work. I'm glad his poor wife and her family got justice.

Here in Chula Vista, CA a man murdered his wife, but they still haven’t found her body. Their three children are with the man’s parents. The wife’s family is still fighting (last I heard) for the right to see them.

Actually many people are beautiful in their younger years. I used to get complements all of the time when in my 30's and 40's and a few into my 50's.
