Hi Ryan, you forgot the mining boom at 10:08. At 16:44 you build a town instead of a city in H4. But both should not be an issue with the kill potential in H4. Nice and typical vengeance game. Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thank you very much and happy new year 🎉.

Awesome stuff! Tigers Hunting and Downward Spiral did work I think you might have missed 4 fear? (3 off Local Diaspora beast event, 1 when damaged town in 4 dies from Civil Unrest) If so you actually won a turn earlier!

Hello! I watch almost all of your content and never comment, but wanted to say a big thankyou for your Aces series and difficulty is a lie video. Because of them, I was finally able to a.) Truly grok the flow of HME, b.) Take on their level 4 form (giving me the confidence to try to push for 5 & 6 soon and c.) Take on my 1st level 6 adversary against Sweden with Vengeance, my favorite spirit! Thanks for all the quality content

I really appreciate it! That's the primary reason this whole channel exists, and I'm happy to see it's working for someone :)

Regarding land 1's last ravage: Being unable to skip builds is a modifier to disease that also applies to ravages in mining lands, so no, you cannot skip the ravage. However, you CAN use Vengeance's special rule to allow this ravage (as well as any builds in lands with disease) even when this event is in effect, since you get to choose the order to apply the two modifiers, and thus you can still get a fear. You also can use the same ordering trick to apply Terror of a Slowly Unfolding Plague before Strike Low with Sudden Fevers to get an extra fear for each ravage skipped -- really great when the land would double or triple ravage!

I see, that feels like getting away with something that you shouldn't, but technically correct is the best kind of correct

Could you explain your major draft/why bloodwrack plague wasn't in contention? Seems pretty strong against HME with all the disease adds

7:14 The quick answer is that it's too expensive and does too little In this moment, we want to draft and play any animal card so that we can use the left innate to clear up the LC. With 3 energy, we can either grow top track for +3 up to 6 energy, which would allow us to afford plague that turn, or we can grow bottom track, which will leave us 1 energy short, forcing us to play Fiery Vengeance. Yes, playing Fiery Vengeance and growing bottom would give us the right innate, but that's just one measly damage. We also would do less damage in H4 in the fast phase (3 vs 5 damage). So taking Plague and growing bottom track means we don't get the play the major immediately, which undermines the point of playing a major, and we're just worse off overall Let's say we go top track to play plague, what's the card going to do anyways? Defend 3 in and around H2? That doesn't accomplish anything, still have to take a blight or burn a disease in H2. Ideally we would be able to threshold the major and do tons of damage with it, however we're now 3 presence away from the 3 card plays on bottom track, this will take 2 turns of growth + 1 turn of reclaim to get there, so we're much slower, and we will be too late Compare all of this to tigers hunting which is half the price, meets all the short term needs of the game, and can be thresholded without a 3rd card play if we draft a lucky tri-element card (though this last point is the least important). Tigers hunting is much more effective than plague without the threshold. Hitting 3 card plays is a really big deal on vengeance since the left innate doubles in damage and the right innate triples (ignoring badlands). So cheap cards are going to hold more weight since we can afford them on a lower budget
