The Fog Closes In has a mandatory Dahan push on it, which would have affected some of the later turns (though you had Dahan pushes from the right innate that you kind of just used "wherever" and could have reversed this pushing instead.)

I believe elemental boon's elements counts as how ever many or how ever few you want it to. P16 in branch and claw rulebook states that for events. I am guessing that extends to shroud getting an extra energy or not

It’s a bit odd, and certainly an unforeseen result of base game naiveness. I think the card would have no elements, like Natures Connection, if it was remade today

Yeah, I'm never playing base shroud again for sure, but I can understand why the gtg didn't do this right away. Ms. took Lightning , I went Shadows and Son took Earth(shockingly we won even playing half the game with Pandemic double blight overflow rules! [all a joining territories get a blight] . So River wasn't anyone's first spirit in our group. In fact I think I have only played River once or twice (counting aspects) and the others have never played River. I don't know why but none of us ever bonded with River. Which is odd considering I LOVE Finder and control . less odd I have only ever played Vital twice once in a solo game against vanilla beginner no adversary just to get a win with every spirit and My second ever game of SI with my group where I learned that stalling too long will loose you games. Sure we were ambitious in trying an adversary and the other two chose higher complexity spirits but it was definitely me playing Vital that lost us that game.

I've beaten England 6 at the following Terror Levels with the following spirits: TL 1. Starlight (early draws of Jungle Hungers and Razor-Sharp Undergrowth for easy thresholding, a fear card removed the inland town, so explores were skipped very early on). TL 1. Fractured (Vigor is busted, as you can quickly corral the invaders to the coast and coast only) TL 2. Keeper (need to be lucky with explores and draws to win at TL 2, but I've done it a few times) TL 2. Serpent (Unrelenting Growth turn 2 meant I ignored all of the ravages and unlocked 5cp/6 energy on like turn 4 slow. Having 10 presence on the island meant max-tier Serpent Rouses in Anger can actually clear the island in two uses) TL2. Lightning + River (pocket one board so hard with the slow-to-fasts and River's control, Raging Storm makes Massive Flooding useful, and the constant Boon of Vigor allows Lightning to go straight for 5/6 plays and 1 energy, clearing its board very quickly) TL2. Wildfire + Green (Green prolifs allow Wildfire to actually clear its board very quickly, and having two airs allows Wildfire to keep its board clean with just its innate, so it very quickly becomes a 2v1 on one board) TL2. Thunderspeaker + Lightning; fast Manifestations = fast landwipes, which is insane value, especially if the inland town explores on turn 1, you nuke it, and pockets the remaining lands on your bond. Lightning also provides free Dahan movement. TL2. Wounded Waters Bleeding. Serene downgrades so much that fear is hard to come by, but the cheap town removal, and eventual replacing of cities with Dahan, make this a very potent spirit for beating England at TL2. You should try it! Beating England 6 at terror level 2 is doable, and feels great when you do, as it's a big middle finger to England's main mechanics. Beating England 6 at terror level 1 feels like cheating.

Hey Ryan, thanks for your videos. I have never played Ember Eyed Behemoth before, maybe I misunderstand the cards. But from what I read on the wiki, your actions at minute 07:00 seem confusing: Terrifying Rampage reads push 3 Dahan, doesnt seem to be optional. So you shouldnt be able to do damage in Wetlands 2 during the ravage step? Probably only a minor difference though. Blazing Intimidation reads "Push 2 things into a land without Incarna" on the wiki. You pushed one into Wetlands 2, the other into Sands 4. That does not seem quite correct to me as your Incarna was in Sands 4? That may have changed the flow of the game as either you push both explorers into Wetlands 2, causing it to blight (and Mining Rush) or keep one explorer in the Jungle 3, causing it to build and be a problem next round?

I thought because Royal Backing specifically says "during setup after adding all other invaders", it would trigger after France's Persistent Explorers, meaning you cannot put the extra explore and the royal backing town into the same land. Not that that would have changed much, I'm just wondering.

Great game! Thanks for uploading it! A tip, regarding presence destruction: With a lot of Incarna spirits, you can often safely sacrifice your Incarna instead of other presence, when having to destroy presence. Specifically, at 25:00 you could destroy your Incarna, as Behemoth's special rule can also add it to a land with their sacred site. It wouldn't matter here, but it's good to keep in mind.

Also, seeing that big stack of presence in the ocean makes me want to see this aspect played with Finder so it can use its “push half the presence in a land” power/innate on such a large stack. Not sure if that’s better than base ocean in that combo, which is already pretty crazy. Creating an inland dump land, temporarily making it adjacent to the ocean (and therefore coastal), and putting deeps tokens there to whittle down the big stack of invaders seems like it could be really strong. You’d be giving up a lot of land drowning for that though, and if you drown the dump land before the coastal explore comes up, you’d have a really rough time 😅
