Today I met my friend Louis on Venice Beach where the canals are he bought a brand new paddleboard so he tried to use it in the canals doing lockdown there was nobody here

My friend took me to the Venice Canals a few years ago. I lived in L.A. for thirty years, and never knew about the Venice Canals. Some houses looked like bungalows, some were modern designs.

I checked the prices of these places on Zillow. $1.5 million is the absolute cheapest for a very tiny bungalow. Most are in the $3 million to $5 million range but some are even higher than that. If I lived in Venice Beach that is where I would want to live.

I biked thru there as well as the boardwalks. I like the historical areas in LA but rents and owning are not realistic in them. Some are on rent control, and in spite of that they still group live even into old age...which is why the streets were packed with cars everywhere and in all parking lots. I pay the same north of LA, but get more overall. My Dad told me, don’t be a part of the past, be a part of the future.
