Welcome to our first stop on our Italy 2022 travels: Veneiza!
In this first stop on our Italian summer adventure, my fiancé and I, along with my sister Juls, and her (proposal in this vlog!) fiancé leave Toronto for Venice, Italy! Once at the airport, for about 15 euros per person, we took the Alilaguna to the San Marco stop, to arrive at our airbnb which was centrally located between Saint Mark’s Square (Piazza San Marco) and the Rialto Bridge. We were in Venice for 3 days, so we wanted to make the most of our time as soon as we arrived. We fought off Jet-lag and explored our surroundings by eating and exploring Venice. During this incredible stay in Venezia, it was my fiancé’s first time ever in Italy, and it was mine and Julia’s 3rd time (she is also vlogging so check out her channel @JULIASALLURE ). It was also Julia’s fiancé’s first time in Venice, and this was the city that he proposed to Juls! You can see that epic Venezia Gondola ride proposal here in this vlog. Nikia and I were so happy to be there for this beautiful Italian proposal, and to have made memories to last a lifetime! Jul's and I have been to Italy many times, (if you are familiar with our past Italian mother-daughter adventures with my other sister and mom as well), but it was really nice traveling together as 2 couples, and showing my fiancé the country of my ethnicity for the first time.
All 3 days in Venice are here in one vlog for your convenience. We ate at the most incredible places, and had delicious food, and drinks everywhere. I loved having delicious breakfasts every morning at a new pasticceria, where I would get various pastries and my favourite cappuccino. We often stopped for chicchetti (the classic Venetian snack food), as well as Aperol Spritz on the streets as a snack. We had many delicious dinners every night, a highlight was the pizza restaurant Birraria La Corte, as well as Suso Gelateria, and the many other delicious stops. I highly recommend a gondola ride in Venice, as it’s the best way to see this floating city. We took the gondola from Piazza San Marco and the cost is around 80 euros by day, and 100 euros by night. All restaurants and locations are listed within the vlog, and you can also find them quickly on my Instagram story highlights (@ladolcelisa )
Thanks so much for watching, and if you enjoyed please give this video a thumbs up, as it really helps my channel, and don't forget to subscribe for more videos like this one. Our next stop on this Italian adventure is LAGO DI COMO - Lake Como! So stay tuned for my next vlog!
