They have the same thing here in San Luis Obispo. They ride around with young guys and gals checking the parks in a minivan with "CRISIS UNIT" spelled out on it and do absolutely NOTHING to help the homeless that I've seen. I'm sure they're well paid for just riding around all day, mostly stopping at the public toilets to relieve themselves... I see it all the time. This way, the city can say they're "helping the homeless". It's all b.s.!

We have expensive "safe places" out the wazoo. We spend literally Billions of dollars on all the "help" a person could ask for. But they don't ask for it. And when actively offered, they generally refuse. The fact is, they are failing themselves, they are failing the community far more than the community or "society" is failing them. Perhaps the faux "compassion" that allows them to remain out on the streets in this state, is the ultimate failure, if any.
