Thank you so much. During the first lockdown, i used to cook for 60 odd workers in our apartment in Bangalore. I made udupi rasam just the way you taught. All the workers enjoyed this rasam. We cooked for them for 41 days. Thank you so much. God bless you Sir ji.

Thank you for this recipe !!!! Luckily was able to buy this exact same chillies at my local Indian grocery they only had these in stock. Love that it is not that spicy yet gives you fantastic color.

Y there is no pepper? Rasam means there shud be some pepper is it? May be mangalore rasam is wdout black pepper, but red pepper 😁😁

shyamala genupur , this is for tomato rasam and as you can see the powder will turn black. Always add hand grounded pepper in the boiling rasam to have best result!

Oh how I miss your sense of humour! The only thing missing is, you relishing the food you make! It was literally the best part of samayal samayal! I realise now that I too do the same because I grew up watching you enjoy food! Thank you for showing me how to enjoy food!

In udipi rasam, we dont use pepper... If we want pepper rasam, only then we will add pepper..
