We didnt use Thalamboo water, used 11/2 aalakku basmati rice and used 250 ml of water. Rest all as per your procedure. We are family of four and everyone freaked out with aroma, taste and flavor. I made this biryani today exactly as listed , except I used some fried potatoes along with the mushrooms, store bought fried onions and store bought garam masala. It was absolutely MINDBLOWING. I served it with simple onion raita. Even my 2 year old and 6 year old children thoroughly enjoyed it. Most restaurants do not pay much attention to Veg biriyanis n it’s a constant source of frustration for me. But no more. I’ll make amazing biriyani at home for myself.
