Though I enjoy the first one and thought it was pretty good, none of these movies are what fans wanted for the Venom character and characters like Carnage who are supposed to be darker, more serious, evil, and honestly more horrifying. Instead, Sony turned these Venom movies into a buddy-cop, unserious comedy which makes absolutely no sense and no one wanted to see. They turned Venom and Carnage into a joke and didn't make them Rated R which was a huge mistake. Even though Sony is already messing up and completely changing Kraven's character and backstory, at least they're not holding back on making his movie actually Rated R, violent, and a lot more serious

I'm going into Venom 3 like I went into Joker 2.... excited but expecting just to be entertained and realize it's a forgettable movie. JOKER 2 actually wasn't bad to me the music parts were actually good I just hated how it ended. I give movies a chance even when it's not great hoping the ending would make me like it. Not liking how Joker ended sealed it's fate as a movie I'd never want to see again. VENOM 3.... Ur up. Side note: I actually liked Morbius so I might at least like this more than Joke 2.

I actually like that they did very little with Knull, because it would have been ridiculous if they defeated him in this movie. So the fact they don’t fight him, but set up the destruction he will bring leads to a good build up to a Thanos level saga if Marvel wants to do a extremely high stakes saga again

I don't see this film making much over $350 million, especially after the projections for its opening weekend seem to be getting closer to the $55 million range. Casual audiences are likely over this franchise after the awful last few Spider adjacent films Sony has out! You can't be constantly putting out horrible films and not expect it to affect your top earner in a overall franchise!

I don’t get it. There are so many problems with these movies that people could point out, yet they somehow always go back to “It should’ve been R-Rated!” It’s just silly. Venom isn’t even an R-Rated character. From what I’ve seen and heard, all of his comics are in the PG ranges. Besides, are we really gonna pretend gore would’ve made the movies better? At best it would make the movies slightly more entertaining. It’s fine if you would’ve preferred an R-Rating for cooler action scenes. I probably would’ve too. But please… can we focus on what ACTUALLY MATTERS? Sony is gonna get the idea that if they add more violence to their films it will somehow make up for it. Pretty sure that’s what they’re doing with Krave, but idk lol.

It really sucks that SpiderMan characters are stuck at the worst movie studio. Sony has absolutely no vision and no clue what they’re doing. What I’ll never understand is why are the SpiderVerse films so incredibly written and faithful to the lore and tone of SpiderMan? It’s the same studio, why the drastic difference in quality? And poor Tom Hardy. He really deserved better. I hope this flops.

And we saw what happens when people are left to do their own thing in _Wonder Woman 1984_ and _Joker 2._ Movie-making is a collaborative and cooperative art.

@@sandal_thong8631 Well, I'm sorry to break it to you but you're kinda in the minority. Also, the first Spider-Man was based mostly on the Ultimate run. I completely agree that movie making is a collaborative art but if you have someone that loves the source material, it can be easier because they know what the audience love about the material. You mention Wonder Woman 1984 and Joker 2 when those movies are clear example of two movies made by filmakers that aren't really fan of the comics trying to mold those characters to their taste. Raimi loved the Spider Man comics that's why he managed to adapt them so well. He had problems with the third one because he revealed that he wasn't really familiar with the character of Venom and it was forced on him by the producers.

Just got back from watching it with the Wifey. Really enjoyed it. Think it's like people who review sports cars then review a family saloon and say it does not corner well and not very fast. Think it's like that with films, this film was just a good film, it had humour, the effects were ok and the story was fine. If you compare it to billion dollar films it obviously is not the same, but I enjoyed it and would watch it again, £10 each well spent 👍

I Loved This Movie and I Thought it was a Beautiful Ending for Eddie and Venom's Story. Also I Liked how they handled Knull I honestly just thought He was gonna be in a Post Credit Scene and that would be it but He was The Driving Force of The Plot even though He didn't have much Screen Time, His Presence was felt throughout and I'm Very Excited that this is just The Beginning of His Story.

I liked the movie, especially the second half, the first act was pretty chaotic and there were a lot of ADR that I felt was kinda cringy. But once the Xenophage appeared, I thought the movie got more exciting and that final act was pretty dope….although I do feel kinda sad the movie’s “scale” never got any where as grande as the MCU films. I think they pictured Knull to be mega powerful, way above Venom’s pay grade, so they had him just there like the “Lich King” (with the long white hair too~haha) With the Deadpool and Wolverine end credits and now the Venom end montage…ah the feels~😢

Tom can decline to be in them. They don't own him. But at the same time. there is no reason as to why he wouldn't agree to be in them. But i gather its complicated when it comes to getting the 2 on screen together. I think thats where we are heading though IMO.
