Venom is what Transformers was to me when I was growing up. You know these aren’t great or even good movies but they’re all just fun. If it wasn’t for Tom Hardy having the best chemistry ever with himself I wouldn’t be watching. Tbh it is kinda sad that we’re losing this great casting after this movie. I would’ve liked to see Tom Hardy’s Venom interact with one of the Spider Mans. I think Andrew would’ve been the best Spidey for this particular version of Venom.

this is complete fan theory but i would love for Venom to be in AG's spiderverse, Rhys Ifan being the cured Dr Connors in the trailer, living a renewed life, AG's spiderman being able to now fight a space alien since he never has had the chance (not that we will see him, but it could be implied) and the fact that Venom had that reaction to spiderman when he entered the MCU when he appeared on TV means that there has probably been some point where he has interacted or has knowledge of spidermen. Would be pretty cool.

I agree that this can and probably will tie into the MCU. The reason being, which is also a little confusing is that the Danny Rojas scene took place in the MCU. As when Eddie was transported to the MCU by Doctor Strange’s spell he was in Mexico talking to Danny Rojas and then was transported back to his universe and a pick of the symbiote remained. So the fact that you see Danny Rojas again tells me there has to be some link to the MCU, unless Sony just forgot, which is also highly possible.

There's 3 main things I'm confused about tbh: 1) why was the trailer released by Marvel *and* Sony? 8:07 2) why did they cast Chiwetel Ejiofor in Venom 3 when he's already played Mordo in the MCU (which Venom has crossed over with)? 3) how is Chiwetel Ejiofor's character in the 616 MCU to collect the sample Venom left behind at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home?

1) Because Venom is a Marvel property that Sony has rights to. The Marvel Entertainment channel does not just release videos of Marvel Studios projects. They release anything with the Marvel brand (comics, games, movies, etc) 2) it doesn’t really matter because Marvel has made it evident that different versions of characters can share faces in other universes. (RDJ as Tony and Doom, Chris Evans as Human Torch and Cap, Aaron Taylor Johnson as Quicksilver and Kraven) 3) The truth is we don’t know the details of the scene. Sony isn’t great with continuity in the first place. Just look at the Morbius end credit scenes as well as their Morbius trailers. Maybe around the same time Venom buds a piece off at the bar in the MCU, he buds a piece of it off when he arrives into the bar in the SSU. -or- Sony doesn’t know what they’re doing and they are generating buzz from No Way Home’s popularity.
