Carnage is the blood of Venom while the Symbiote pieces are more his body, but what I think will happen is that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will obtain the Symbiote sample in his universe and Eddie will get the captured sample of Venom at the beginning of The Last Dance

This goes out to show why comic stories will always be superior compared to the movies. The last dance was far from perfect but since I love venom and anything Klyntar related, I tried to stay positive and thought that it wasn't all that bad, specially with the appearance of other symbiotes like lasher and agony. Honestly I like to think that venom is still alive, he did say goodbye "for now" of course. Knull will most likely appear in the next movie too, and get whacked like other villains who made their first appearance. Ultron, Kang, Gorr the the god butcher, Carnage etc... Sony just loves wasting the characters' potential...

Ok so for anyone confused, YES venom is still alive. At the beginning of the movie venom is captured in a small test tube at a bar and taken back to Area 51 along with the bartender. In the post credits scene we see the bartender leaving the aftermath along with a broken test tube- the same one venom was contained in. Sadly though, I don’t think venom will appear in any other movies and the only reason is still alive is because sony didn’t have the heart to kill him.

I was thinking if Strickland died, venoms shedding might have fused with him to become temporary anti-venom. Which might explain knulls new optimism of beeing free, because it would make a new codex. Or he got a codex when the scientist with the christmas tree, got stabbed in her heart and after got fused with her symbiote. Later her symbiote got seperated and eaten. Perhaps its then when Knull obtained it.
