Hmm, why would you do that? Only if the Torch Down is beyond repair. I still think it is much cheaper to repair or to install another layer over the existing Torch Down. The second layer will outlast any other roof system.

That’s the wrong pipe boot/flashing for that roof. They make one where the rubber ring around it is clamped at the top and is has enough material so when you step next to it it expands like an accordion. Never fails

Hey I'm stuck on the vents why do you have to put tar under and ontop of vents on a flat torch down roof but not a shingle roof?

You have a point, but no object is the same in circumference or shape. It is much easier to have the material and cut it to size.
