@rearct Жыл бұрын
Um actually hot water gets most stains out better than cold water, including oil stains. (Blood is a notable exception.) This is because hot water is a better solvent than cold water, so it will hold more dissolved detergent and more dissolved oil. Also, while modern laundry detergents will activate at relatively low temperatures, hot water is still more activating than cold water. Also, I don't know if soap is more effective at lower temperatures! That would be neat, I'd like to read about that. But laundry detergents aren't soap, so that doesn't apply here either way.
@jamesp540811 ай бұрын
@@rearctum, actually, the problem with hot water is not that it reduces the capacity of the water to hold soap or stain debris, it's that some substances, particularly those that contain significant protein and some fats, tend to denature and cling much more tightly to fabric. This is particularly problematic with blood, bit also applies to some oils and protein-rich fats like cheeses. For theses substances, the solvency of hotter water is overwhelmed by protein transformation.

Human transmutation (creating life or bringing it back) is not possible due to the equivalent exchange law. FMA is a very philosophical story, and it questions , among many thing, wheter life is more then the correct composition of chemicals. And the answer is no. Because a soul is something you can not make or form or exchange. It is priceless. During the transmutation of the brother's mother they experience a rebound by the reaction that desperatly tries to solve itself, forcing them past the gates of knowledge and exchanging parts of their body for knowledge. SPOILER ALLERT At the end, Ed manages to use the law of equivalent exchange to reverse to progress. Exchanging the knowledge he and his brother gained to get their bodies back. The opposite (and equal) of how they lost their bodies.

Um, Actually the series later establishes the violation of the law of conservation of mass as well: several characters use philosopher's stones (or false versions thereof) to produce mass from energy, as the stone is basically concentrated soul (which is established by Ed's monologue about the recipe of a human to not be a physical matter-based component of a human). Therefore the massless souls are being converted into mass by the alchemical transmutation. Zarathos WAS put into Johnny by mephisto, in an attempt to control the potential danger to him that Johnny's Innate Spirit of Vengeance could present to him. This went badly, as Zarathos struggled for control, and eventually was Removed. Hey, is this a reposted episode? I have seen this one like a month or two ago when I was binging the show. Also, the previously posted episode was also repost.

If you’re a Dropout subscriber you likely have seen it on there since I believe these are all reposts from the member section unless we’re finally caught up

It is. I watched the full episode back on July 1st on this channel. This one and at least 7 others have been set to private, and they're reuploading them. It's defnitely not a Dropout, hosted on College Humor or 13 minute thing, because some of the episodes are still up on the WayBackMachine FROM this channel, and they're completely full.

Um Actually Final Fantasies VII and VIII (and many if not all others) allow you to name the protagonist whatever you want. So while you can say their names with certainty in supplemental/extended material, it is technically inaccurate to say the protagonists of those GAMES are Cloud and Squall (which is why I didn't learn Tidus' name until years after playing the FFX). I don't expect a point for this at all, as it is pedantic beyond reason; but I had to get it out. ^-^

The Venture Bros. is the best show to ever be on television. It's criminal that it never got a large following like Rick & Morty.

Honestly still devastated that Venture Bros was cancelled. Seems like the hope for a revival isn't going anywhere as well.
@TeeComedian3 жыл бұрын
I think it was more a matter of it's timing, [adult swim] wasn't as popular during the show's early years and R&M's production cycle is way more reliable lol
@fugyfruit3 жыл бұрын
It's probably because the inspiration (Johnny quest and show like it) is completely irrelevant to a modern audience while Rick and Morty's Sci fi inspiration is still at the forefront of "nerd" culture so it's a lot easier to get into (though honestly venture bros is so much better if you can get into it)
@hardyworld3 жыл бұрын
@@grayanotoxin6131 I was too. Sadly it appears you are correct that a revival isn't coming. The news that [as] has greenlit a tv movie to act as a finale is at least something. I have eagerly bought each DVD set upon release and several other collectibles to show my support for the show, trying to vote with my dollars, maybe my tiny contribution over the years helped it stay alive as long has it did/has.

Um, actually hot water can make some stains set into the fabric, particularly any stain that contains a lot of protein or fat, like chocolate or blood. This is more than a trivial issue, as a significant portion of stains will be made worse if washed in hot water.

Um actually, as somebody else mentioned the last time this was uploaded, the Rainbow Raider pictured was NOT a Superman enemy. The pictured version is a Flash enemy. While, Superboy (not Superman) did encounter a villain named the Rainbow Raider in Superboy #84 (Google it if you want to see what he looked like), the two Rainbow Raiders are not the same character. And neither is technically a Superman enemy, since one is a Superboy enemy (yes, Superboy is just younger Superman, but they have different codenames, so they're not the same). And strangely, there is yet another character named Rainbow Raider in the original Dial H for Hero series.
