Chris it’s good to have you back, hope all of your “life maintenance” went well... Love “coming along with you” on a Saturday morning adventure no mater where the destination, but you are correct Utah is a great place to “get lost” in. Those old abandoned structures make one wonder what the inhabitants lives were like so many years ago. Would be fun to set up camp in one of those canyons and just watch the light change over the course of the day (yes I’m a photographer)... Stay safe out there

Central/Southern Utah my very favourite country. Camped (tent not RV) and hiked over many years.Just love the dramatic wildness. Moab in the earlier days was a real back country, unspoiled slick rock town too. Shame it's changed, not for the better either! Oldtimer Englishman from Shropshire made his last visit in 2012. Been scouring the desert west and Utah for the past 30 years by 4x4 and mountain bike. Love those areas more than anything.....Western Colorado, Utah, "The Reef", "The Swell", "Grand Staircase", Moab and the like. I did learn early on......those spring winds and the weather can be ever changing. Winds can get brutal and sustained. But when you look around you, you get it. Winds rain ice snow hot cold......forming that landscape of pinnacles, smooth petrified sand dunes, arches, balancing rocks, twisted junipers, canyons, and sandscapes. After most winters, by March, I'm ready for a wander that direction but I know it's inevitable those winds will come, and for some blow their karma away. I will still get out their but now I know where to hide and shelter and what gear with withstand it and make that time more enjoyable. But I also know when the absolute "perfect time" is to go as well and spend a month or more at a time in those places then. And even winter is awesome when it snows. Love your vids out there, but don't let too many cats out of too many bags.........

Chris-- please make sure you're not getting leaking from your thermostat housing. these are made of plastic and tend to develop hairline cracks that leak just a little bit. you can get underneath the front side of the engine, look straight up, and see if its leaking-- there'll be moisture or a drip stain. and it'll drip right onto your front axle bell. i replaced mine in a few minutes for $20, and it comes with a new thermostat. (though i think maybe you had this done not too long ago?) But i mention it because mine failed after 40k miles....

A 3-4 foot piece of garden hose would sure make filling your “white RotoPax containers” easier. Or filling any water container for that matter. Add a funnel that will slip into the end of the hose and you can fill any container regardless of the tap fitting. Bonus, neither one takes much space or adds much weight.
