I was the first owner to a 1978 Datsun mini truck and put over 300k miles on it, the next vehicle was a used Ford Ranger and put an additional 150k+ miles on it, then a used Dodge full size van and put an additional 200k miles on it, used Susuki Samari and put an additional 250k+ miles on it, new 2010 Ford Focus and it currently has 300k+ miles on it, my daily driver is a 2019 JL an a measly 40kk miles on it. Needless to say, I regularly have driven my vehicles well past the 200k milestone. I plan on keeping the JL well past the 500k mark. Hope you do the same with Orangee. Thanks for sharing.

Nice to see a new video and that you are back exploring! Just to help, here is my "2 cents", the intro on this makes it sound like it is one of the prior trips you have been featuring (even although you have V22E1 in the title). Thanks for the prior trips now having dates of the adventure!

Chris, I’ve watched your channel for a few years now. Love It!! I love what you do so much I’ve made my first step to endless adventures. Purchased a 2022 Rubicon JLU this past April. Three weeks after purchasing I took a 10 day trip from mid Missouri to Arizona. On my list over the next few years are; Ursa Top, Long Range America aux tank, AEV front and rear bumpers and lift….and more. My childhood involved camping but not to the overland extent. Thank you Chris for your inspiring videos of adventure!!

@@calsurflance5598 Truth! An old time subscriber. Basically this channel is what has made me build out my old 04 Tundra. Solo exploring. Seeing that it can actually be done. The best thing you can do with an old vehicle is to drive it.

@@scottymac5174 Absolutely! I recently bought a 1966 Land Rover that was still in daily use on a cattle ranch here in central California. It needs some TLC, but runs like a sewing machine. When you park anything for a period of time, they just degrade. I once came across a 1978 Ferrari 308, with 300 miles on it. It was 28 years old still with the factory plastic on the seats. Every seal and rubber bushing needed to be replaced. Drive them and fix them is the best thing for any machine. Congrats on building your Toyota. I’m sure it will be awesome. My son has a Tacoma and loves it.👌

In the 80's we'd have bonfire parties out there. There was also a waterfall and swimming hole we'd go skinny dipping in. Back then, I was driving a 1976 Jeep CJ5.

I know exactly where you are in this one! Won't even need to use my membership to get the coordinates. You live pretty close by as I've seen your vehicles from time to time. I'll message you on the member's side and if you need help reading codes or wrenching I'm down to help. Also know some of the really good Jeep shops here in town. Stay safe Chris! B-)

Those campsites are a gem for sure Seems like a fuel pump , usually when “vaporlock” happens Low fuel pressure Most people dont think about changing fuel pumps until its too late Then stranded Every 100k miles just change it No matter what Cheap insurance / no tow bill Dont be the guy trying to bang on fuel tank to get pump to start Workin again Nice video , love the channel

Back on the Road! However brief. Grilled cheese can get you anywhere. So glad to see you exploring, however close to home it is. You inspired me this year. I took three weeks in September and and drove from Martha's Vineyard to Montana then down to Yellowstone and Utah.. Camping along the way. Though I've been out to the Rockies before, this time I drove the Highline and saw areas I'd never seen. There are areas where the landscape hasn't been taken over yet. I made a list.

Is like to know more about the engine. Rebuild simply due to age? Was there a major failure? What’s the deal?

If you don't give up those grill cheese sandwiches Chris, you're going to have that Jeep more concerned about your survival than the other way around.

Good to see new content with the Jeep. 210,000 hard use miles is a lot for a Jeep even with a new engine. I had a 94 Grand Cherokee and it totally fell apart right at 200,000. Almost like it was engineered to do so. I wouldn't be surprised if yours wasn't due for a total rebuild or complete replacement.
