I just recently discovered your channel and I absolutely love your content. Your cinematography, sound, and editing is top notch! I really like your rig too. I’ve seen a view people who are overlanding in a Jeep but their set up is no where near as nice, clean, and comfortable as your yours. It’s a shame that I don’t have the proper vehicle to meet up with you when you’re on the east coast. I’m a professional chef and I’ve run so many restaurants and catering venues. One of my favorite things to do is go on mini outdoor trips with a stocked cooler and cook awesome food outside. I would love to give you some pointers and show you easy meals to make with just a Coleman stove that are awesome! I don’t know if your comfortable with it but I’d love to see you cook more things outside of your comfort zone. Regardless you’re a great storyteller and there aren’t too many people who are as honest, live simple, and drama free who do KZbin full time. I’m going to continue to watch your videos until I catch up but I’m definitely going to watch your next new video when it drops. Stay strong, keep the adventure rolling, and I wish you the best! Cheers!

Chris you're quite honestly the best thing on KZbin. I have personally enjoyed watching you grow through your journey. Your Cinema photography is second to none and when it comes to your brutal honesty, it's a beautiful thing to watch. I hope you don't mind, but I sent your contact information to the Discovery Channel. I just wanted to give them opportunity to witness what I and so many others have been able to, when it comes to watching your wonderful Channel. Even though you've heard this plenty of times, you are truly an inspiration. I honestly wish you nothing but the best, and I am looking forward to see more of your wonderful videos. Me and my son have only been watching your videos for the last couple months, so we had to start from the beginning. It's taken us a while like I said, but watching your videos has been a wonderful thing to share with my son. Well like I said, we wish you nothing but the best and we cannot wait till next Friday to see your next video. Your new biggest fans, Wil and Cole, from Parke County Indiana. PS, It truly is a bummer when it comes to the lack of fudge dipped Oreos they provide, truly a bummer. LOL
@MikeDonner5 жыл бұрын
I know your intentions are good, and maybe it's what he wants, but I think that's a terrible idea. Discovery Channel style and format is unbearable. I think the reason people like individuals and their channel is because they don't stick to some 'reach all audiences and maximize profit' playbook. And the ones that do wind up embarrassing themselves and going nowhere. What Chris does is what he likes to do and that's what makes it enjoyable, and he's good at it. You start adding money people and everything goes to #$%^. It will take the fun out of it too with deadlines and pressure. ...One more thing: There isn't any stupid drama between people on this channel so I'm sure no cable network would be interested anyway.
@wilderrick20425 жыл бұрын
My 9yr old son is who asked me to contact the Discovery Channel, sharing Chris's KZbin info. It was my son's interest in Chris's Channel, and how I became aware of his wonderful videos. So there was honestly no ill intent when it came to sending that information forward, it was his idea and I just helped him write the letter to the Discovery Channel about Chris. Will anything come of it, who knows. But the one thing I do know I agree with my son Cole, Chris has a wonderful story and I wouldn't mind seeing Chris succeed in any path that he so chooses. No, I'm quite certain that we did not mean any disrespect in doing that.
@MikeDonner5 жыл бұрын
@@wilderrick2042 It's like I said, maybe it's something he wants. Lots of people would like to "break into the industry". I can just speak for myself when i say I much prefer "user created content" to standard cable TV programs, of any kind. I didn't mean to sound confrontational or disparaging.

Hey Chris. If you want a simple “spice up” to your grilled spam and cheese, try this: Quick fry your 2 slabs of spam Melt butter in your pan and start your bread- add Slab of cheese, slab of spam, small amount of mustard, small amount of thin sliced pickles, tomato, lettuce, slab of spam, slab of cheese and the last piece of bread Cook as usual. You can add mayonnaise if you have it to the DOWN (cooking side) of both slabs of bread. Very tasty modification! For an incredible breakfast sandwich, take out the lettuce and 1 slab of spam and add fried egg. It will wake you up with great surprise tastes. Enjoy. Love your videos!

Temperature inversions make for some great photography, the valleys covered with low lying clouds until the air warms sufficiently... Spaghetti hint; you can break the spaghetti in half while still within the carton and you won’t loose any, just bend it over a countertop (bumper, fender etc)... Safe travels

I was watching your v4 series... in which you asked on a trail if you should film as you walk and drive or show you going by... then later in Zion or Brice I Believe it was you said the trail you took was 9 miles and you thought you saw it was only 7 miles. Perhaps the extra miles or at least some of it could be attributed to going back and forth for the camera placement and retrieval! Oh as posted next the green item is a light... so never mind on that!

Excellent videography! FYI...in the South we pronounce it App-ah-latch-an. Using a long A is a sure sign of a yankee 😁. Also be aware of cooking too close to your camp and also hang your food away from your Jeep as well. The bears are hungry right now and haven’t had a good food supply this year. There have been several instances where bears literally broke into cars looking for food. Enjoy the beautiful mountains we locals are so proud of. I really enjoy your channel. Thank you for sharing your travels. 🍻

You're in luck, definitely the right place - definitely the best spot east of the Mississippi. *Tellico Plains, TN/NC* Miles and miles of great off-road trails. There's Bald River Falls, which are awesome. And so much more. _But best of all,_ there's the Tellico Plains OHV park, which is huge and, frankly, most Wranglers can't finish it - it tests you to your core, seriously! Oh, and when you're done with all that, you have the Cherohala Skyway, 41 mile scenic hwy, all of which is over 4,000 feet elevation (max 5,400) overlooking to the north the Smokey Mountains - amazing views, puts the Blue Ridge Parkway to shame, and a much better road too (built in 1996). www.tellico-plains.com/tellico-river-bald-river-falls.html cherohala.com/tour/ kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4eqoZ-thL5jd6c

Nantahala National Forest is awesome. It's the headwaters of the Nantahala River, which is supposedly the cleanest east of the Mississippi, except for ones in Maine -- and it's also the only river south of Maine and east of the Mississippi with a Salmon run. The lake is amazing too.

Chris, a little cooking tip from a former restaurant guy. When cooking any unprocessed meat, always season with a bit of salt and pepper before cook. You don’t need to load up the salt, a little bit gos a long way. Also, when cooking pasta, throw a little salt in the water before you start cooking the noodles.
