One thing I have noticed around Arizona is all the D-Heads on side by sides are destroying the vegetation that deer and elk etc need for food because they refuse to stay on trails. Lot's of camping areas will be closed in the future.

I'm glad you dug this footage out of mothballs to share. I used to own property just south of the Big Tubes area, and some of the footage of you driving south from there looked very familiar to me. I enjoy your videos and watched 3-4 episodes a night until I caught up. Now it's painful to wait a week for the next episode to get loaded up. Keep up the good work, Chris! Ps, your video footage is some of the best I've seen.

At any moment I expected Marlin Perkins to step out from behind you and elaborate on the indigenous wildlife. And thank you for joining us on Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom VENTURE4WD Style. Thanks Chris, Enjoy your new Family and a big congrats to Cole!!

Chris, thanks for sharing your amazing experiences, I’m living in Conroe - Texas and the first time that I saw your channel was two years ago when I was looking parts for Jeep. I’m not sure how KZbin suggested your channel but the way that you record, the photographers, the scenes and believe me, your English, yes, your English is so clearly and why I can said that? I’m from Brazil and I’m always keep pushing to learn better. I hope one day to had a chance to meet you personally, my wife and my kids many times watch together your episodes. Thank you!

Splendid episode there, just beautiful colors and composition, thanks for digging out and sharing. All the best for your son and his graduation, congrats. Regarding the webasto: I'm pretty sure there are high altitude kits which basically consists of a specialized second pump, which will deliver less fuel to compensate for the lower amount of oxygen. So depending on the height you're at you just manually switch to the appropriate pump and you're done. Since that was an old episode you might have already installed such a kit ! :-)

Thats kinda unfortunate about the webasto, I mean, the fact is that alot of the people that need something like that are going to want to use it above 5ooo ft, that really isnt that high, essentially all of colorado is off limits to the heater?
@happycamper1687
@happycamper1687 3 жыл бұрын
As a Coloradan, I was thinking the same thing. Apparently a diesel solution (or maybe propane?) would be more reliable.
@dmwi1549
@dmwi1549 3 жыл бұрын
Boy, I’d love for Chris to get a working heater after all these years. Even if it meant carrying diesel in a separate tank a diesel Espar or Webasto would be better at altitude than this. I don’t remember any of the auto glass deliver/install vans, that ran gas heaters, having this much trouble. Chris could also watch a video on how to de-carbon the heater. Hey, maybe Cummins needs another Crate engine swap candidate and Chris could get sponsored and switch the Jeep over to Diesel engine and heater.

I'm building a Sprinter 4x4 van and talked with Webasto to find that they stated their diesel heater is not good for over 7000 feet. To that I applied that limits half of Colorado to their heater. Oh, I'm a Colorado native and I'm not buying a Webasto or any other brand of diesel heater as they all have similar performance limitations with altitude.
@happycamper1687
@happycamper1687 3 жыл бұрын
Half of Colorado is better than none I suppose, but I too want heat in the high country. Do you have any idea of how propane performs at altitude?
@bradshutler9356
@bradshutler9356 3 жыл бұрын
Why don't you get the high altitude kit installed on your heater if it's the one that can be converted? Otherwise It would be replacing it for one that is.
@stevebailey7633

I think he mentioned that if he installs the high altitude kit, it develops the same issues at lower altitude, so a toss up.
