I installed the RV Air Flow System on the main AC unit (Dometic 15k btu AC) in our Keystone Cougar 5th wheel and sealed up the plenum and each vent about a year and a half ago. We've had our 5th wheel for over a year now. I've bought countless "what nots" for the rig to customize this and that. I bought 2 of these for the 2 units in our rig. Great Improvement - Results don't lie. It wasn't just the Air Flow System that attributed to the massive increase in air flow in that RV. At the beginning of the video when the plenum was exposed, Art brought up that the RV manufacturer did a questionable job in the vent opening within the plenum so that had a bearing on the tremendous increase in air flow in this particular RV as well as the vent that had a hole in it and required additional taping. The Air Flow system wasn't available for my unit because Holiday Rambler used a single line duct work system and therefore I had to go with a competitor of Air Flow, which I'm satisfied with. It's a shame that RV manufacturers can't use this product, or similar ones to greatly improves the AC efficiency of RVs. Thanks for sharing.

This is a great company! I snagged the plenum insert maybe 2-3 years ago now. It didn’t fit the Heartland North Trail, the plenum depth was not deep enough. I needed to trim the overall depth of the styrofoam insert. It worked though and noticeably made a big improvement. I explained what I did to a service tech and they refunded the purchase. Didn’t have to, but will never forget. I believe some brands were coming with this installed, but if not get it!

It might sound stupid.. but the ducts being open into the “Attic” does cool the roof from the inside and the ceiling from the living space .. Much like the venting airflow in a home attic.. I did a before and after with the thermal camera in my drone.. and you could see the cool runs of the A/C system from the inside as well.. I am not making an argument for not doing this! these do make the system drastically more efficient and this is the best thing on the market today. Most RVs are made so sloppy and with the sketchiest methods I have EVER seen.. And I have owned 5 RVs and 3 Mobile homes. If you ever get a chance.. check out an RV that has been in an accident.. I used to tow them for an RV roadside assistance Co. often after an accident, and I watched them being repaired..

For sure used your code, install seemed pretty easy from the video. I have a permanent site on a lake that doesn't allow the AC to be ran when you are not there. (Its a flat yearly rate and doesn't have metered electricity) so every time I go down to the lake it's like 90 to 100 and something inside. Looking forward to this cutting down the time it takes to cool off.

Just letting you know I just recently watched a great video on some of the good and bad on the alliance deltas and they did say one was Plumbing so just a heads look inside your wet Bay cargo area and replace mostly all of your metal clamps especially the one that goes to the water pump they have been tested and known to leak already

Those are considered a low pressure area and I do not think they are as subject to failure as if they were used at other connections. I forgot one more GAME CHANGER. 1. On the roof, remove the air conditioner covers and paint them White. 2. Cut out the plastic vents on the air conditioner covers & insert / bolt in stainless steel screens to prevent Insect Harborage & increase Air Flow. 3. Put reflective tape & paper in many places on your inter parts of the air conditioner system. This will help Cooling & Performance. GOOD SUCCESS WITH THAT 👊

If we never would have gotten the RV Airflow installed we never would’ve discovered that we needed to tape the vents in the ceiling, so for our trailer the results are accurate.

Exactly. More airflow equals higher temp since BTUs are the same.

We did not test the temp before and after. In theory the temp should go down as the amount of return air has been Increased by the design of the insert. It has kept our trailer cool 72-84 degrees in mid 90’s temperatures. We do have reflectix on the windows which helps a lot.

You are not paying for the foam or the plastic, you are paying for the engineering of the original system, the cost of the patents, the cost of the moulds (that can be in the 30k + range) for each model, the costs of manufacturing (people costs, real estate costs, taxes, insurance and logistics), and I've probably missed a few. This product makes a difference in how efficient your existing AC units work with very little labor to install them. They deserve kudos for designing this product and supporting the RV community.

As a mechanical engineer I just wince a little bit at this presentation. While this looks like a great product and comfort is likely improved, you only measure air volume, not temperature. I doubt you are actually getting the equivalent cooling of a second A/C unit. The mechanical part of the A/C can only remove so many BTUs. With more air flow, duct temps go up. With less air flow, duct temps go down. Thus same net cooling. I will admit however that comfort may be improved by more air flowing at a little higher temp. Of course you also patched holes which contributed to wasted energy.

Sorry to hear that. Do you run a dehumidifier as well to help your one ac? We also run a dehumidifier periodically, especially in the humid states, after a shower or dishes & when it rains. It helps too.

As a person with an MEP engineering background I can't help but chuckle. I would suggest that people read and get an understanding of static pressures. Further more get an understanding of air volume (cfm) and compair that to your sqft of cooling space. This will give you an air exchange (AEx )ratio. That will help you identify if your unit is suppling the appropriate CFM to effectively condition the space. One key thing to note as well is sensible heat and relative humidity. I apologize for the long but brief scientific side of things. Knowing what I know is the reason I laugh at majority of Rv gadgets and "snake oils".

My Keystone Alpine 3790FK frame failed at the axles. Keystone refused to honor the warranty claiming that I had to have been hit. No body damage was done, so they then claimed that I had to have been hit at axle level. Both 12" I-beams bent over 6" . Never again will I purchase anything from Keystone. I lost over $15k.

And we’re not paid by any of the factories for this. If ours was set up this way, others might be as well too. What does sleeping in it have to do with anything lol? Unnecessary information. Let me paint the picture for you: Let's just use vent 1 as an example. -1st reading was 54.2. -After you fix/open the duct blockage that the factory left half blocked (Which the guy did actually say 'if you wanted to go back and retest to do that comparison'), the airflow should increase. Let's use 60 as a fake number since you didn't retest. -The reading after the install was 87.6. Percentage increases: 54.2 to 87.6 = 61.62% 60 to 87.6 = 46% Ideally, the assumption is that your 102% increase is a bit lower because the real test of improvement is from the number read when the ducts are fully open. Which you didn't retest.

An increase of 68% airflow would kill your temp split and possibly over-amp your blower. This “kit” does not increase volume only velocity.
