Thank you! This was awesome! I had one questions, how do you derive the definition of height hm?

Explanation excellent sir, But I have one question if I am wrong anywhere I'm sorry... In case of bernouliis equation energy per unit weight so pressure energy means pressure *volume (P*V) and we obtain the head by dividing the pressure energy per weight means P*V/mg... Datum head means mgh /mg and velocity head means 1/2mv^2/mg..so why u write the difference between P1-P2 =mgh? can you please elaborate this things because mgh is Z (datum head)

+Samim Molla all heads have same unit i.e. meter. Go through my lecture over Bernoullis theorem...
@samimmolla99237 жыл бұрын
Sir I have seen Barnoulis theorem which you have made...it's a very good explanation....how pressure energy is converted into a pressure head?? Please...
@Dr.AmitMandal7 жыл бұрын
+Samim Molla head itself is not energy, in case you multiply mass flow rate of fluid with head you will get the energy content...

+Samim Molla i have written p1-p2 = ro g h.

Why is the venchuri meter take of convergent part distance 2.5d and divergent part distance 7.5d

H amit , it is not clear from the lecture , wha you mean by h? , is it the hight of the Venturi tube ?
@Dr.AmitMandal6 жыл бұрын
In the venturimeter the liquid is mercury, however the liquid in pipe is water, we cannot keep the height difference of mercury in the flow rate formula, thus h is the equivalent height of water compared to mercury, for better understanding consider thery of differential manometer.

Thanks Amit. but im not sure what do you achieve when you apply the EQ H = (Pm/Pf -1)* hm ?

Why do we not connect manometer in between throat and diverging section
