Venus Flytraps Vs Mealworms Feeding Frenzy

I've made a few Feeding Frenzy videos which feature me pouring curly winged flies onto my flytraps, but this time I decided to try it out with mealworms.

it's not possible to overfeed ur trap. more food will just be more nutrition and will make ur plant stronger.

​@@mb-zl4cpNo, the plant gets their energy from the sun, the insects are just a fertilizer, if you give it too much food it'll spend too much energy digesting them, it'll get weak and if you keep doing it it'll die.

I have a question.. I just got three potted Venus fly traps, I placed them in my garden because bugs but.. I know live food is best but can one feed them the freeze dried mealworms?

Freeze dried mealworms are tricky but usable, you'll have to use distilled water to rehydrate the worms and than knead them into a ball untill the water is absorbed, theres KZbin tutorials for it (you also have to touch the flytraps lightly to simulate the worms being alive)

If they died in the winter then that just means that they are hibernating and curl up to conserve energy but in the spring they come back to life
