How do you rate Barcelona compared to the other cities you've lived in? What do you most like & dislike about it? Did the UK leaving the EU make things more difficult for you? Is Barcelona's reputation of having many pickpocketing gangs justified, or it it no worse than other large European cities in that regard? When you start conversations with locals, do you begin by speaking in Catalan or Spanish?

Barcelona is the beat but the pickpocketing and muggings are a real problem. You have to be really careful with your possessions, more than in most places. I always speak Spanish, never Catalan unless someone is paying me haha

Paris had sights but it doesn’t have the holistic appeal of London or Barcelona imho. I’ve found it a bit boring when I’ve visited.

Paris definitely has a dark side. It took me a very long time to actually enjoy it, but when I did I think it was one of the best experiences of my life. :-))

We use the ‘s’ when we speak of euros. Not everyone does but it is common
