I’m impressed and amazed you managed to get them looking that good by cleaning and protecting. Very well done. The other weekend I randomly decided to spruce-up my 2006 Transit Connect. The plastics had all faded to near-white. Because it’s only an old van and I’m not too precious about it I thought I’d give the plastics a quick blast with my blowtorch. I was astounded how well the plastic responded, and how little (none) collateral damage I caused. Not something I’d ever try on a car I was fond of!!

Going to be trying the same job on my son’s faded BX bumpers. Video shows you using some kind of paste as well as the magic sponge. What is it please?

Hi James sorry for the delay in replying! It was some Menza polish and in retrospect I wouldn't recommend using it during the process. I found that the oils in the polish left me with a false impression on how much colour I was getting back to, and on the areas of the bumper that had allot of grain it was tricky to remove the residue afterwards.
