That looked really emotional at the end, the atmosphere sounded amazing as well as the views, we are both really proud of what you have achieved, you should be really proud of the work you have put in this as well as the end result 🎉🎉

Thank you very much for your kind comment. Yes, there were a few emotions that came together as I entered the finish chute and realized that I would get it done. And as you said, it's confirmation that if we put in the consistent work, the positive outcomes will eventually happen. And failure is part of the process. You guys do such a great job with your channel to share your journey and inspire me and others!

At 2 miles in, you looked like you were questioning your life choices. After all the setbacks with directions and navigation and pain in your back and calves, you showed what you are made of and finished in style. Big congratulations, Reto! Anything is possible. Keep showing us how it's done buddy 💪🏃‍♂️🏔

Ha. I think I was questioning my life choices throughout the race. These races teach us that we can overcome challenges and accomplish our goals. It may require a few failures, but consistency and perseverance will usually get us to the finish line. Thanks very much, Mark!

The people cheering is such an amazing part of the race. Really kind for people to take the time to do that. What a finish! Great job!

The local support is a tremendous, and often overlooked. The Verbier Marathon, as 1 of 4 weekend races, was organized by 2 co-RD's and 150 volunteers. The cheering and cowbells was a game changer. Not gonna lie, it was emotional to run through the crowd at the finish. Thanks for watching, Chris.

I'm still catching up on watching videos, a huge WELL DONE Reto, amazing experience & scenery, you hit the nail on the head with this is why we do what we do ❤ Such amazing trails, it makes me want to head to the Alps again 😀 Loved the support at the end, much deserved 🏃‍♂

Hi Martin, thank you for watching and for your kind words. As you said to me before the race, I will love Verbier, and the race and the environment where much more than I could've hoped for. I'll be back next year and, if I'm healthy, I may try to step up a little. Hope all is well.

Hard climbs, breathtaking views... that's what my friend Octavian Andrei IVANOV from our team, CiucasX3, told me. Too bad that, due to bad weather, the race was shortened a bit - there were some very beautiful, but dangerous sections in such weather. Congrats Reto! And thanks for the video! I know very well how hard it is to do such a race with camera in hand!

Thank you, Mihai. Yes, your friend is familiar with the course and its beauty and challenges. The final course was re-routed to avoid one mountain that had deep snow, but ultimately was still 42 km and 2,600 m of vert. Very much appreciate your ongoing inspiration and I have even more respect for you to finish UTMB Mont Blanc! Crazy!

So pleased for you Reto, after Canyons, this was just the right event to get your confidence back and despite the cut off dramas, you pushed on and succeeded💪💪⚙️⚙️✅✅ Course looked dangerous in places on the descents so well done😃

Thanks Andy, yes, after the Canyons disappointment, this was ointment in the wound. Onwards and upwards to the Yeti 100M.

big congratulations Reto, tough course, wonderful scenery. The last clip showing you racing to the finish almost falling because of the huge lean really showed how brutally hard the course was for your back. I don`t think i could do this, thumbs up Reto wish you a happy and good recovery

Thank you very much, Fritz. After the Canyons DNF, I had to realize my physical limitations and attempt a shorter distance. Happy with the outcome and the course and mountains were beautiful. Thanks again.

Great work Reto. Frustrations happen but giving up was not an option. That elevation must have been horrible. I'll take your word for it. The camera didn't really show it, like you said. Back and leg pains are no joke. Looked like you were hurting at the finish but I was glad to see you cross that line. Nice job my friend.

@@RunFreeandStrong Yes, lol. Both states have great trails of course. I'm partial to Colorado only because I live here :) I'm trying to be on the trails as much as I can. Restoring health & fitness levels has been a challenge!
