I've followed your content for a good few years now, and to me personally this is the single best piece of work you have ever made. This was an expertly told story. Watching it unfold affected me quite deeply as I can personally put myself into the shoes of Chandler, as I can empathize with the feelings of deep shame and guilt he must have experienced deceiving his parents for so long. Years ago I went through meticulous steps to fabricate a story to lie to my parents about aspects of my work while attending high school spanning almost 2 entire years. When it all came crashing down it was devastating. The only thing that got me out of that rut and back on track was the grace, love and understanding of my parents. The idea of using those emotions not for constructing a better path for myself but to tear down and destroy the life they had built for me and my family like Chandler did makes me sick to my stomach. I hope everyone involved may one day recover from this incident and I appreciate you covering this topic with such poignant virtuosity.

i'm guilty of fabricating lies to my family as well. fortunately not at this horrible level as in this case. i'm studying something and i was hiding the fact that i was repeating years due to my lack of overall motivation to do it. until a point where i couldn't play it along so i had to tell the truth. obviously the shock was so high up to the sky, but i'm happy they are still supportive towards me to actually stand up to myself and put myself back on track. I really love them

@@Zerklasswhile im not a qualified expert. His behavior suggests a complete and total lack of empathy. He was willing to tell such elaborate lies about his entire life to his whole family, girlfriend, and close personal friends. He at no point expressed even the soightest hints of regret or guilt or shame beyond the fact that he got caught. We can never know with certainty unless he is professionally diagnosed with something like psychopathy but i find it far more likely that someone willing to do the things he did and behave the way he did before and after to not be capable of empathy.

About a year ago when we were playing together he mentioned where he studies. It is the same university, it is the very same department where I got my first degree about 15 years ago. I got excited and started to ask him about the teachers who I know are still there. Asked him about the where he lives and what transportation route he uses to get to the uni because in "my time" the traffic was horrible in that area of the city. Asked about subject I learnt if he struggles the same way .. etc etc etc. So I went into deep. He couldn't answer any basic question. He wasnt even sure where the building of this uni was. It came to me real quick that he is just lying. This guy till up to this day lives with his parents, tells them the same bullshit that he has exams, how hard the uni is etc etc etc. I hope he will not chop up his parents when they figure his lies out. I could not imagine murdering my parents let alone sitting down afterwards and playing Escape from Tarkov like nothing happened.

a game didnt create a murderer, simple fact is a murderer just played a game.

Amazing job putting this together but what's more impressive is your insight to use this story specifically tied to Tarkov and use it to organically introduce your Tarkov audience to a new content format. Genius.

Did everyone else have to laugh when he said they might have to drill a hole in his head. 😂 I know I did just like the Doctor..

I was glued to this case. It's so unbelievable. Best video I saw about it covering the case as a whole, no doubt.

I love the direction you are taking your channel. I found you fairly earlier on in the Tarkov days. I used to love your use of voice lines before VOIP. Keep up the good work! Another amazing documentary!

This is super well done. I get on this "interrogation interview" binges and this is more of a documentary. Relevant videos/photos/docs where needed, good explanation and summary... kept in the right order (you'd be surprised how many people don't keep or explain things in chronological order). You did an amazing job on this sir. EDIT: Just looked through your channel, assuming this is what your channel is all about... You're not even a "crime doc" channel, but a video game channel??? That makes all this even more impressive.

I don’t know why this case captivated me like it has but I’ve watched multiple videos about it and I must say this was done very well. I really appreciate the way you put it together. Showed some other interesting facts of the case in depth when others glossed over them. Enjoyed watching. Thanks

On that day the incident happened, they arranged meeting at college probably because the dad wanted to give ChadZ final ultimatum: Go to college now, or get out of the house. I believed they'd be hella mad but they'd forgive him. The mother didn't even know any of these.m..she was getting soda, going home, got killed by son......😢

This is, by far, the best video coverage of this case. Definitely subbed. Thanks for the quality content ❤

Wow this was an incredible video. The way you started out by portraying an innocent guy and describing his life, to slowly feeding us the audience more pieces of the puzzle to come up with our own verdict and to put together the pieces, to concluding the case and adding more of you own thoughts and theories. I've never been so enthralled in a 2 hour video before, especially one of this topic.

The judge on this trial was one of the best I've seen. If only all judges were as compassionate, erudite, and sensible as he is, the world would be a much better place.

At the risk of this comment being made in poor taste. As I am, like many in these comments will be, still trying to cope with the weight of, and fully digest, what I've just watched in this video myself... And hoping that my change in subject, and tone of conversation, does not come off as though the gravity of the immense evil that I've just finished thoroughly examining through this video has had no effect on me... Erudite... That one is a new one for me! Thank you friend for sharing a piece of your, quite obviously excellent and diverse vocabulary, with me! Now to look it up and use it in a sentence three times before bed... That should hopefully rid me of the nightmares I was surely headed for previously, now that I'm thinking about it.
