honestly I really like the "I joined a random lobby and helped them win" approach to videos. Especially when you go sort of undercover not trying to carry them with 300 green circles but instead trying to fill a gap in the team. Even if you get players who are unwilling to change anything/com it might still be interesting commentary on common mistakes and/or getting the idea of roles out there.

I would love a video or just even set of clips on good group play/strategies. I feel like I'm getting good as an individual player, but the ceiling I am hitting is understanding how my play can fit in well with my teams and help support others (especially on QP with less communication). Some examples would be what I can do when the team is just committed to a bad position, covering/supporting damage dealers, best time/ways to swap boss aggro, stuff like that.

Awesome feeedback m8! :) I am currently working on a highly secret project ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) that may just help you out with that!

@@ThePartyKnife Bonus thought, have you ever considered doing analysis/coaching videos. So have users submit their clips and analyze good and bad things they or their team do? Helps provide your same great knowledge, but in situations that might be more familiar to regular players that might not actually happen in your own clips a lot.

For those unaware its recommended when venting/reloading you use a simple gaming mouse with 2 side buttons. You can then dodge right since one finger isn't on R. Great for weapon special not so much for active reloading.

Here is a suggestion for a video. I have played most of my time in this game with bots. They are not the best, but at least for the most part they are predictable. I recently started over because I figured that would be the best way for me to learn to play with other players. (Times I prefer the bots, let me tell you). Anyway. I was playing a game with a player that I could tell was really good and I died. While I waited for him to come get me I had the opportunity to watch his movements from the death view and I'll tell you what. I learned so much watching him and his movements from that perspective it was mind blowing. Yes....would mean you would have to die intentionally:) Anyway, just a thought.

That's interesting. The Speed/Rate at which you attack boss. when he turns.. There is actually a very good tip I know about, it's mostly personal. which is whenever you damage a boss significantly make sure to have the mindset that the boss can turn around and Chop/attack you any time. I see it time and time again. someone attacks boss, boss turns around in second and they go down. so basically just always get ready to block. it's like boss attack combo. 180 behind to the head Chop. so I always play like he is about to do that any minute. if I am up close and damaging boss.

Highly recommend playing with Deathwish mod (now changed to Cata 3 and Deathwish) in modded realm for people who really want to perfect their movement and positioning skills. Deathwish mod will punish you hard for any poor decisions made in regard to movement and positioning and force you to always be thinking ahead about it because small mistakes will make you die quick with enemies added push and stagger resistance trapping you in bad positions, this is even more true if you are doing Deathwish mod true solo practice. Playing with it really helped me appreciate and think about aspects of gameplay I normally don't pay much attention to, great mod that I can't recommend enough.
@ThePartyKnife4 жыл бұрын
For sure! :) Just onslaught in general is amazing for improvements! Personally, I still find deathwish to be less fun/enjoyable due to the mechanics feeling sorta unimpactful. I play it when I have too but I would rather have 100 specials and 10 bosses increasing the difficulty instead :P But that's just my personal preference :)
@insanescientist99104 жыл бұрын
When I first heard about Deathwish mod and asked friends who played it what it did I at first hated the idea because to me it sounded like it would make gameplay more boring and just remove mechanics or nerf builds like shield stagger builds. After playing the mod with friends though and trying it out for true solo practice runs I found in practice that I was really enjoying gameplay with the mod and that it was adding a lot of depth to gameplay, have friends who similarly really liked it after giving it a chance. I like Onslaught and Deathwish both, I just find Deathwish is the mod that teaches me more about movement and positioning from experience playing them.
