Cool board! What happens if you surf this board above shoulder height? You talk about a definite top end. I’m just wondering what happens above the top end?

It just depends on the wave. If it is a big open-face wave you could still cruise around the face, throw some turns and have a great time. If the face is closed off and starts to barrel it would be tricky. Not to say you couldn't do it, but the width would be tough inside of a wave, you'd be locked into your line pretty much. It also doesn't have much rocker, so making the drop would also be a challenge on a steep wave face.

Can and should are separate here. You could, but it is designed to be ridden with the Vernor Quads that we sell as a package with the board and will perform better with them.

This or fling?

That's a tough one. The Fling is a little longer at the same volume compared to the mini simmons, and can be ridden as a quad or thruster so there's some flexibility there. But the Mini simmons can hold similar volume in a tighter package because of the way it hides liters under your chest and further up the board. So you can get up on small waves easily and then the board does the work and starts generating speed.
