My first time watching The Last of Us Episode 4! It is WAY less stressful when all we have to worry about are the infected. Ellie just wants to have pun!

Im also looking very serious, until my daughter walks into the room and she breaks every "conundrum" in the room. Shes older now, but shes still a social butterfly fluttering everywhere. And im sitting there at the bar, or corner of the room stewing away. She said it best "I just dont do anything."

I really liked seeing Joel slip into "dad" mode. I know he pushes against his own humanity as a coping mechanism which is why he doesn't want to care about Ellie. But their interactions in this episode and his protective instincts starting to show toward Ellie were just golden. Joel smiling & he & Ellie laughing was heart warming. After 3 heart-wrenching episodes it was nice to get a brief respite from what I'm sure is going to be a pretty terrifying 2nd half to this season.

Maybe this episode wasn't as shocking or heartbreaking as the previous one but it was very tender to see the interactions of Ellie and Joel, who at first treated her as a burden and now is slowly opening up to her, but you can see that he still struggles, otherwise it was a good episode, looking forward to the next one❤️

Everyone is all about encouraging a 14 year old girl to kill someone by shooting them in the back. Then you hear what killing him sounds like as he cries out for his mom. And how she reacted in that moment. Actions have consequences in this show.

Another great reaction to a great show! One thing that I really enjoy with the writing in this show so far, is the little moments of uncertainty or anxiety from Ellie. Like how she in this episode asks Joel if anyone is going to find them before they go to sleep. I think it's a clever and subtle way for the writers to remind the viewer that Ellie is indeed still a child. She might act tough and hardened, but on the inside she still worries about things in a way that any teenager would. Really like that about the show.

The whole time they're riding in the truck I couldn't help but to think about Terminator 2 with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Edward Furlong. They're doing a great job at building the real root of the story which is Joel and Ellie's bond formed through trauma.

This episode was so good it was great seeing Joel and Ellie finally bond and start to truly care for each other, I was hoping the episode was gonna end with Joel and Ellie laughing at Ellie's corny joke I was like aw this would be a good heartwarming ending but nope we got the cliffhanger ending with Henry and Sam pointing guns at them 😂

I really enjoyed this episode! I yelled at the abrupt ending, ugh well done cliffhanger booo. 😅 For me I can’t relax when they’re inside buildings!! They are so dark and I just expect infected to jump out everywhere. The show is really nailing the suspense parts. Definitely worried next episode is going to be spicy! Humans and infected both for Jellie to avoid.

I'm probably wrong, but maybe Ellie's talking about stabbing the Infected in that basement in the head when she refers to her previous experience. Also, one of the writers said there aren't Infected attacking all the time because this is the series, not the game.

My only issue with this show to this point is the new character Kathleen, not that she is bad, but I don't believe in her character, can't see her as an Alpha, how can she run this fraction in this world, in my eyes she looks so Beta, not like Marlene or Tess, they were some strong alpha women, you need authority in a dog eat dog world, maybe it makes more sense later, but it throws me a bit off, fin by me they throw in more new characters, but in my eyes, she doesn't look or sound strong enough for the role, but maybe it changes

"alpha" and "beta" mean nothing. There are all kinds of leaders in the world, sometimes those we perceive to be weak are the only ones to step up when no one knows what to do. It's always best to not judge a book by its cover

For me, it's the fact that she doesn't look or sound scary, that scares me. Why is badass Perry following HER? Looks normal, sounds squeeky, but can probably do damage when not expected. She's also a good "spin doctor", blaming Henry for the men Joel killed. And she did kill her doctor.

in a modern civilized world, you can have many different leaders, but in a world where the strongest survive, almost like a dictatorship, don't think she can control a group like that, don't think she can put people in their right place if they disagree with her. Can't remember a soft woman succeeding being a dictator anywhere, just me not seeing her as a leader of an militant group at this point

It's entirely possible her brother was in the leadership role and she stepped in after he died. People would follow someone like that until another person decides to challenge them.
