An excellent video. I've always loved "hero fights his doppelganger" stories so I'm glad to see Luuke getting the credit he deserves. One point though; when reading "The Last Command" I strongly got the impression that the pressure Luke felt in his head was purely due to the Force reacting to him being in such close proximity to his clone. That is it wasn't something Luuke deliberately caused.

Starkiller wins, largely because Luuke was used as a psychological weapon as opposed to a legitimate threat. Luke was being destoryed by his counterpart because simply being near him induced intense headaches. Luuke was a weapon to end Luke and pretty much his appearance and some training was all that was necessary for that aim. Mara Jade had no particular problem with him Starkiller himself meanwhile had a lifetime of experience under the distant tutorage of one of two major force users of his time, had fought and defeated Vader and fought the Emperor off long enough for the allience founders to escape. While his exploits are certainly crazy, given his relative experience it's only natural that starkiller is better then a mere tube grown apprentice fostered by an insane force wizard. (summeriesed the entire video within 3 minutes.)

Jan Negrey either or really. Both are Galen Marek and Star Killer, the main issue Vader had with the Clones is that the original personality kept resurfacing in his clones, making them unusable. Hence why the force void creatures were so important in the Thrawn Novels; generally force sensitive clones ended up pretty loco (in C’boothes case) or were effectively reborn (Galen Marak).

Great music choice at the beginning. Also, I always got the feeling that the pressure Luke felt when dueling Luuke came from the Force being unhappy of two instances of Luke being in the same place. This was still back when the Force was a supernatural instance, rather than biologically tied. It's been a while since I read the novel though.

The headache Luke felt might not even have been conscious on his clone's part, it could be a result of the contradiction that Luke is fighting against someone who is identical to him causing the force to react to this. While I don't agree with the TFU haters who just write Galen or Starkiller as off as a Gary Sue, especially since every force ability of his was explained thoroughly and people are just only looking at the TFU game itself, not the novelizations or comics, the lattermost portraying a more realistic version than the game's overhyped depiction of the Force. He's still a much better character than rey, I admit.

Luuke only matched Luke because he knew how he fought and he knew his weaknesses, both of which are advantages that could easily determine the outcome of a fight and that fact that he couldn't get the job done while having such advantages speaks poorly about his actual skills as a lightsaber duelist. The only reason that Starkiller resorted to tricking Vader into defeat was because he wanted to see if Juno survived and he couldn't end the stalemate between the two. And yes, the novel describes that they did reach a stalemate, meaning that they fought as equals. As for Vader trying to force him to surrender, the novel made it quite clear that towards the end, Vader was trying to kill him, as when Starkiller mentioned the idea of Vader helping him and the rebels to kill the Emperor, Vader struck out at him him with a lot more aggression than before, not even letting finish the sentence.

BTW the proper term for "tactical tunnel vision" is "target fixation" which I deem to be a more accurate description of what is going through the combatants head. They fixate upon the target and lose awareness of their surroundings allowing for missed opportunities and making a combatant more prone to fall into lava pit or something. I'm loving the bigger, longer, and uncut version of evannova, yours is one of the few vs series that I actually agree with more than 90% of the time.

Actually, I'd say Starkiller Base is still less powerful than the simple Sun Crusher weapon which, um, destroyed suns and thus entire star systems would be wiped out by it at a time. I say the Sun Crusher would count as more powerful strictly because of the fact that said ship was essentially an indestructible weapon that had a material that literally could have pretty much done what I would consider the (infamous) hyperdrive crash scene from The Last Jedi and pretty much go through all that and end up completely intact or even stay inside an actual star and end up being okay

A match up with Clone Wars Era Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi vs another pair would be interesting. Their "hammer and anvil" technique would be a great topic for analysis. Maybe against Darth Bane and Darth Zannah. They have a similar dynamic. Or against a pair with a different tactical dynamic like Revan/Malik or Exar Kun/Ulic Qel Droma. Thank you for your interest in my theory! See below: First off, in the dark side ending of the game, Vader says "I lied when I told you the cloning process was imperfect." Past tense verb: LIED. That means that the cloning process was perfected BEFORE the conception of this protagonist Starkiller in TFU II; why in the heck would Vader waste his time and resources making another imperfect clone when his goal was an army of perfect clones? It is completely illogical for him to do this. And furthermore, Vader says this protagonist (supposedly imperfect clone) is supposed "to go mad and die within months just like the others who came before him," so why would he waste time, energy, and resources on a hiring a bounty hunter and then waging an entire full-scale battle over Kamino to make this imperfect DOOMED clone return? It just seems illogical as well. The only logic is that Vader wanted to see what would happen with brainwashing the original Starkiller; when it didn't work, he decided he didn't want him aiding the alliance, and he either wanted him dead, serving him again, or to be the final test for his first perfect dark clone (see the game's gallery photos unlocked from trials - Vader says to the dark clone "Your final test will be on the spire tonight. Do not interfere unless my life is in danger" and this is why the dark clone doesn't interfere in the light side ending). This is totally the real Starkiller. Plus, if Palpatine, who himself stated he was Starkiller's equal in terms of midichlorian count/force power (see TFU I dark side ending - "You would have been my successor, my equal.") survived the force explosion at the end of TFU I, how would Starkiller, who was younger, more spry, and quicker-reflexed, not have been able to? And if you're going to go the route of "Palpatine force-shielded himself from the blast," I have 2 counterpoints: 1) There is no in-game indication that he shielded himself from it 2) Even if he did, I can apply the same argument for the bystanding, critically-injured Darth Vader, who had just been crushed by several tons of piping, thrown through a glass window & taken a several-story fall, and spanked in a lightsaber duel just beforehand. When the explosion occurs, he is thrown from the platform and takes a second several-story fall to the ground below - yet he even survives this despite his badly-damaged armor. If HE could survive that explosion from a position only a few feet back from where Starkiller stood, how could Starkiller, who had no injuries at this point, not have survived?

Sorry I'm just now getting back to this. I personally don't believe Starkiller died in the blast at the end of TFU I, but if he did indeed die, I absolutely think Vader saved him (in the same manner as he did earlier in TFU I game), wiped his memories, and wanted to see if he could make himself a "perfect apprentice" without even having to bother with the cloning process. Now, obviously Vader was creating clones, but we know from art gallery images unlocked by beating TFU II minigames that he did indeed have the original Starkiller's body in (presumably) a bacta tank. He shows the dark apprentice the original Starkiller's body in one of the art scenes; this is grounds for why in the dark side ending of TFU II, Vader says he LIED (past tense) about the cloning process not having been perfected yet to the protagonist of TFU II. Well, if Vader already had made a perfect clone, then why the heck would he have bothered to make another imperfect clone? It just doesn't add up. The only explanation is that he brainwashed the original Starkiller to see what would happen. At least that's my opinion/interpretation. You may have a different one of the events, and I'd certainly love to hear an alternate, plausible theory.

I don't have any theories to this, but it's still interesting to say the least. tbh, as much as I liked playing Starkiller, I never liked him that much. Plus the name Starkiller was a bit...meh. I would've liked the DLC more if Starkiller got a Darth name, but then that would break the Rule of Two, so i don't know. I don't really make Star Wars Theories, I prefer alternate universes, like if Anakin won the Mustafar duel and killed Obi-wan, then Sidious later on. Or if Qui-Gon Jin survived his fight with Maul and took Anakin on as an Apprentice. It's fun!

Yeah those are fascinating. I very much love speculating on if Anakin had beaten Obi Wan (or at least walked away unscathed). Holy crap... The galaxy would never have seen a more powerful force wielder (expect Luke Skywalker, that is; GL says in ESB director's commentary that they have the same midichlorian count. Can't tell you how many debates I've gotten into over that fact haha). Palpatine would've stood no chance eventually; GL also said at full power, Anakin would've been 200% of Palpatine's full power.

A very small detail. The reason the game had to go with disintegrating enemies with the repulse is because they had to get the "T" rating. So they kept it for the novelization. LucasArts could've easily went for the "M" rating if they wanted too.

+Jesus Rendon Actually, when one considers how the Expanded Universe works for Star Wars stuff, having watched the videos for Old Republic's big cutscenes, comics and various novels over the years, it would seem that the movies kind of underplay what a character can or can't do as opposed to the expanded universe that consistently takes advantage of the medium presented.Whereas in movies, it's difficult to perform all of those things because of the fact that special effects cost money or were difficult to render at the time of, say, filming Empire Strikes Back, for example.

One other thing I've been wondering a bit about, is how exactly does one become a force ghost, what does it mean about the person, what can they do ect... and then the same for sith, as they become disembodied spirits that can still posses and effect people, or just for their bodies to explode in the big blue ball of dark force energy, I would like to hear, you or maybe even a Council meeting discuss these things in depth. and for something competently different I would like to see another kind of versus video say Who was the better general Kenobi or Anakin. So instead of outright combat prowess other attributes. or like, who better followed the Jedi ideals and code, Jinn, or Jedi master Dooku, both mavericks in their own right, but in different ways still.
