Shaak-Ti is one of my favorite Jedi Masters, so it's cool to see her power scaling in this video. I like her style of mixing forms two and four, in a sort of ebb and flow to her attack and defense. She blitzes, and then when she can't get an opening or gets tired, falls back into defensive alterations of the attacking forms. Always offensive, but with variable explosiveness. Plus, Tutaminis is probably my favorite force ability.

From my point of view I feel like Adi Gallia was more skilled at fighting than Savage Opress, however she was fighting against a much bigger and physically stronger opponent which made it difficult for her to overpower him in any way
@DoctorBored357 Жыл бұрын
Agree completely. Savage already had an incredibly strong natural connection to the Force. Combine that with him being amped up by the Nightsister Magic equivalent to steroids, he was basically a walking tank once he gained a bit of training. Adi, despite being a very capable and and experienced duelist was clearly thrown off by how her physical attacks were having no affect on him. This surprise also allowed the less experienced brute to use his greater strength to defeat her. Had Gallia been able to recover from her shock, she may have been able to outsmart Savage and eventually defeat him like Obi-Wan would later do. Or maybe not. Maybe she was doomed from the start. Sadly, we'll never know

@thefilmwatcher1302 I don't necessarily think he has to diminish Disney at all. The best way to do it is to either don't acknowledge them at all or acknowledge them very little. I go about it by doing the same. I despise Disney SW personally. I don't even see it as SW at this point. Instead of harping on it, which is a waste of time and energy, I simply don't acknowledge its existence. I'm going through the Vector Prime saga right now, and enjoy videos like this at my leisure. My circle for SW content is very small and none of them discuss Disney. I know content guys who hate what Disney is doing, and rightfully so, who love SW, but wine incessantly about it. The wining and complaining about it, which accompanies having to comb through Disney's slop, is also terrible and annoying. I unsubscribe from them too, or completely ignore the content that does it. I myself refuse to rant about it anywhere. It isn't worth it. I just watch and laugh as the foolishness continues with Disney desecrating the corpse of its own property that they're losing insane amounts of money on. I wanna mention something important for yoda Yoda won the duel against Sidious and stalemated him in the force. He only retreated because he was knocked further down and Sidious was calling clones to back him up because he knew he couldn't beat yoda fairly. In fact if you do some research, the cut version of yoda vs Sidious shows Sidious literally retreating from yoda.
@scottb3034 Жыл бұрын
Exactly, Yoda is the strongest Jedi or Sith in Star Wars history (since Anakin never got to his peak) and that duel proved it.
@mrceraixDD Жыл бұрын
in the book for the 3rd episode, the fight is discribed as a fight between the brightest light and the darkest darkness, no longer just being a duel between sidious and yoda and yoda himself comes to the conclusion that his light isnt enough to overpower the darkness so he retreats and stated that he failed - his ultimate mission, his whole life as a jedi - but wouldnt surprise me if sidious also noticed his darkness isnt enough to overcome yodas light
@scottb3034 Жыл бұрын
@@mrceraixDD Stover used a lot of artistic license to flesh out the skeletal information provided by the script he was given to write from. He couldn't write a 400 page novel if he didn't embellish or change things to make it fit a novel format. From what's shown on screen (and even moreso if gleaning the deleted scenes) Yoda dominates Sidious in almost every way throughout the fight.
@mrceraixDD Жыл бұрын
@@scottb3034 but wasnt the novel approved by george lucas himself? stover said in an interview that he did work with lucas while writing it is also mentioned that sidious did feel vader being in danger so he didnt want to continue the fight ofc its hard to show the inner thoughts of the characters on a movie screen and in my opinion the novel did a great job by adding them in and creating more depth while doing so i also thought the only one that officialy did win against sidious was windu, without a surprise due to its lightsaber form vaapad, making him the perfect match against any dark lord
@scottb3034 Жыл бұрын
@@mrceraixDD You will learn this very quickly by research or by others in the know but George not only didn't do much approval personally but he also was very, very lax regarding anything that wasn't his movies. He basically gave the greenlight to his managers at Lucasarts, Lucasbooks, Lucas Licensing, etc to approve basically everything. He doesn't care all that much about the EU, his first and only priority to him were his films. The one who ACTUALLY approved the novelization was Lucas Licensing Print Editor Sue Rostoni who managed all the Lucas novels and comics published by Dark Horse and Del Rey during the 90s and 00s. Lucas might have given her guidelines to advise authors on what could or couldn't be discussed in a novel but he didn't sit down and read every novel front to back to make sure it met his approval. And yes Stover worked with Lucas, he kind of had to because he was working based on the finalized script Lucas wrote for ROTS...but that doesn't mean it was particularly collaborative or that he looked over his shoulder. It was probably a general Q&A with questions like "Is it okay if I just completely ignore Yoda's story on Kashyyyk and most other characters stories to focus on Anakin, Obi-Wan, Palpatine and to a lesser degree Padme?" or "Is it okay if I go with this narrative device to describe Anakin's fear and angst?" etc... And probably not as much "Hey what was Yoda thinking just before he escaped the Senate and Palpatine?" The broad strokes more than the minute details. Writers always had a lot of breathing room to create their own inner monologues for characters in Star Wars, Lucas Licensing gave a lot of flexibility. They had a lot of freedom to fill in the cracks that the narrative didn't. In a way they were the ideal company to write licensed characters for since they were a sandbox under Lucas. I believe Mace is the only one directly stated by Lucas to have beaten Sidious (i am rusty on the commentary and don't remember what Lucas spoke of during the Yoda/Sidious duel) but the onscreen evidence spoke pretty loudly that Yoda had the upperhand for the majority of the fight. He ultimately never put sidious in a clear loss position like Mace but he controlled the saber duel and visibly won the Force clash...that said it ultimately was a draw because Yoda was disarmed and neither combatant was killed or injured.

He was like the last of what the Jedi have been / were long ago. He and Qui-Gon, probably Babylon Skoll too, could have made kick-ass new order light-grey Jedi - not quite as on the fence as most greys, but not as myopic as the Jedi.

Wait, does that mean Shaak Ti wasn't amped by the force energies of Felucia? Given that Felucia was said to be strong in the dark side and Shaak Ti was the reason the planet didn't fully succumb to its corruption, wouldn't that mean that Shaak Ti was actively or (more impressively) passively fighting off the influence of a planet scale dark side nexus? By contrast, as a dark sider (at this point in time) Galen Marek could've likely been amped by the dark side energies of Felucia. So, potentially, a strained Shaak Ti was fighting an amped Galen Marek and only barely lost because of luck. Wow.

Though I respect the idea that Jedi get more powerful as they age, I think in Yoda’s case at least, his prime might have actually been before the prequel era. It makes sense that Shaak Tii and Ben Kenobi grew more powerful after ROTS, but you also gotta understand that they were only in their mid 60s and late 50s respectively, while Yoda’s body durring the time of the OG trilogy was that of a 90 something year old man and had gotten very weak and sick (he was effectively sustaining himself through the force to train Luke. Even in ROTS Yoda was in his late 800s and relatively speaking didn’t have that much longer to live. My idea is that Yoda between the age of 600-700 was at his MOST powerful given that he didn’t have to sustain his body so heavily with the force, and was even stated to be able to life all 7 of the (I forgot the name so I’ll just call them mediation stones) while in Mediation. Thanks for considering my view and reading my comment!

It’s not that they get more powerful as they age but that they are able too continue learning new skills and honing their power through the years whereas the dark side of the force pretty much let’s you access all of you’re current potential. Of course we don't know where he was during Order 66, but depending on the circumstances of his survival he could potentially be more powerful than Stass Allie plus he must have done something of importance to be even considered for a seat on the council, especially since there are several other Jedi (like Aayla Secura or Luminara Undula) who could have taken the seat.

While he has more feats, Tiin rivaling Windu on two occasions and Kolar being stated comparable, as well as soundly beating Vos are higher quality than losing to Ventress and Durge. Tiin especially has also been given a special excuse for his performance against Sidious in the novel and Fisto also had more time to gather himself since Sidious simply did not target him at the start of his assault.

I would personally place me above Revenge of the Sith Anakin. It is often argued (as in this video) that both Anakin and I are nerfed during this fight so it's difficult to power scale us. I was nerfed by my desire to not kill Anakin while he was nerfed by his arrogance. But, we cannot only take the cons, we must also take the pros. What I mean by this is that while Anakin was nerfed by his arrogance, he was boosted by his anger and rage in the Dark Side. Turning to the Dark Side both made him stronger while making him more reckless. But that is the nature of the Dark Side, every Dark Side user will become stronger and more overconfident when they fully embrace it. That is why I would argue Anakin was not nerfed, he was at full strength. If was are doing to count any power boosts, we also need to account to any weakness that come with that boost which is why I would argue I beat a full powered, Dark Side Anakin. Additionally, the novelization has me holding back for most of the fight but I still match Anakin hit for hit. But at the end of the fight, it is clearly stated that I let go of any attachment for him and let the Force flow thought me. When that happens, the fight actually becomes easy. That was me at full strength, not holding back anything and is when I beat Anakin. I was so strong that I beat Anakin without even meaning to. So I would agree that I am stronger than Anakin because I ordinarily do not hold anything back and the instant I don't Anakin was defeated. Additionally, my intelligence has to be accounted for when ranking my power. I was not physically as strong as Anakin but knowing how to use power is far more important than power itself. I routinely used said intelligence to wear Anakin down and place him in difficult scenarios and battle sense is just as important in a fight as battle ability (which I had as well). For all those reasons, I would strongly argue that I am above Anakin. I had more battle sense, I won the instant I stopped holding back, and Anakin's overconfidence from the Dark Side cannot be separate from the extra strength he gained from the Dark Side. My defeat of him was not a fluke, it was a clear win. Even Vader later acknowledged this saying he was still the leaner when we met again and it's why Yoda sent to fight Anakin which such confidence, he knew I could win.

Is no one going to talk about how ABSOLUTELY OP the Infant of Saha feat is? Because it basically means that the majority of high council members are at least capable of using their force abilities to contend with planet busters, mind you, Coroscaunt is a large planet.
@Wes_Bradley-Taubner Жыл бұрын
I saw the VS Battles Wiki calc for that feat and it was only Planet Level, not Large Planet Level. Large Planet Level would be if you destroyed a planet as big as our gas giants. Still insanely impressive for Poof and the council though. 82.42 Zettatons of TNT is a crazy AP feat.

great video, and i’d love to see a video ranking the NJO-FOTJ era council, and seeing how they stack up against the strongest prequal era jedi
@thestrongestnerd4284 Жыл бұрын
NJO time Jedi just all get “scaled” really high according to most people since they chronologically came last and writers love to use statements like “most powerful or greatest”, but the actual feats of alot of them besides Luke, Jacen, Kyle, and Kyp are generally less formidable then the prequel era council I’d say
@bensilk6431 Жыл бұрын
Nice to see you still making videos. Though I'd say nightfall vader beating mace windu with extreme difficulty I agree with the rest of the ranking.

Coleman Kcaj does have one feat attributed to him. He was a participant in the Battle of Geonosis and survived the Petranaki Arena, having been stated to have done so in the New Essential Guide to Alien Species. Ergo, he should scale above Coleman Trebor but below Stass Allie, which would put him at least on the level of the least-skilled fighters to have survived the Arena (Roth-Del Masona, Tarados Gon, and Joclad Danva). So he'd be at least high-Knight tier.

Also, i do like your S+ tier with the hypotheticals. Imo, Dark Times Yoda is very interesting to analyze. My opinion is that in terms of force power, the only person who matches him is Dark Times Sidious (who i think scales massively above his ROTS self), yet his combative prowess degrading to much lower than his ROTS self; likely a hair slower, much quicker to fatigue, and not quite as sharp bladework as he once had. From what i can tell, when jedi along with finishing their training, also find a peace in their mind and greater understanding on the force, they become much more powerful, as their limits in the force are partially broken, and i think Dark Times Yoda encapsulates that, considering the things he had to Luke in Empire. So its a tricky situation where i think Dark Times Yoda could probably ragdoll all of A tier and lower with the force, but if it came to lightsaber combat, he would be A tier or maybe down to B tier (likely not that low with the dark jedi feat, but still). So its a weird case where i think this version of yoda is much more powerful than his ROTS self, but i find it hard to give him a majority in a hypothetical fight, because his ROTS iteration would run circles around him.

I generally view that fan made duel for Ben and Vader as the actual physical depiction of the fight, and the New Show duel to be where they are at before that. Obi could still Beat Vader for a time post Revenge of the Sith, but eventually time and isolation undid him. Vader was constantly fighting and training with so much more wealth and resources to put into it, in training material and sparring partners while Ben had no one.

I'm waiting for someone to power scale mercenaries, bounty hunters, and assassins in star wars. Grievous can't use the force so its easy to assume he'd be number one since a competent force user being challeneged in a 1v1 is supposed to be rare. Legends or disney canon, its whatever. But i would love to see 2d clone wars Durge in these discussions.

Jedi ranks aren't "power levels". They are wisdom levels. The rank isn't a guarantee of strength. There are Jedi Masters who are weaker than some Jedi Knights. Like Jedi Master Jocasta Nu being weaker than Padawan Ahsoka or Jedi Knight Anakin.

Great video! I do think that Yoda and possibly Mace and Anakin too should've been placed a tier above Kenobi though. Yoda outright states he wouldn't stand a chance against Sidious, whereas at least Yoda and Mace definitely would, and as you mentioned it is also stated many times that Anakin was a superior fighter and stronger in the force than Kenobi, with Kenobi's victory being very circumstantial. Add to that instances like Kenobi and Anakin's respective performances against Dooku, and I think it stands to reason that, though Kenobi is superior to everyone below him on this list, he is not on par with the other members of S tier.
@karolclark791 Жыл бұрын
You're not giving Obi Wan enough credit for his wisdom during battle. Sure Anakin was a slightly better duelist, but that's all he could do overpower the enemy. While Obi Wan on multiple occasions was able to use the environment to his advantage. The high ground wasn't some magical unfair advantage that just happened to be there. Obi Wan knew he can't defeat Vader outright and the whole fight he was luring Anakin to new locations to look for something that'll help him secure the win.
@gabrielcarrasco9078 Жыл бұрын
I dont think you gave Koth enough credit. He also gave Vader a good fight after years of not using a lightsaber. Koth wasnt being amped, and Vader was not fighting under a handicap. Pretty impressive overall.
@onmyown9552 Жыл бұрын
Eeth Koth was literally amped. Vader said himself that "You have become more powerful than council would allow you"

In RotS Obi did match Vader in TK only for the split second of him moving first to push. Vader caught his push and you can visibly see Obis hand bending backwards from Vaders push. Extremely powerful move from Obi but he still falls short of Vader in TK.

Yoda: Allow this appointment lightly, the Council does not. Disturbing, is this move by Chancellor Palpatine. Anakin: I understand. Mace Windu: You are on this Council, but we do not grant you the rank of Master. Anakin: What? (Pauses) How can you do this? This is outrageous! It's unfair! How can you be on the Council, and not be a Jedi Master?! Mace Windu: Take a seat, young Skywalker. Anakin: Forgive me, Master. (Thinking: I should be granted the rank of Master, you fool.)

Another point in Kcaj’s support, if we count Disney canon, he is a confirmed survivor of Order 66 along with Quinlan Vos and Oppo Rancisis; he is confirmed dead by the events of Kenobi in 9 BBY, but he is confirmed to have at least been alive as of 14 BBY as his name appears along with those other two Jedi I named and a couple other faceless Jedi on a list of survivors after Vader had successfully slain Eeth Koth. Thus, we know for a fact that Kcaj survived the Jedi Purge for 5-10 years, which is certainly nothing to scoff at. I do hope that we get an actual story for him someday.

I do believe it's calculated to be around 19 strikes a SECOND that Obi-Wan rather easily (for someone fighting off 19 strikes a second), not only deflected, but out right countered (cutting off limbs) from General Grievous. 4 angles, strengths and styles attacking someone with one blade - someone who was once moved out of the Jedi Knight path because of his weaker connection to the force, shows that hard-work and experience can outclass almost anything.

One of the better more in depth lists I’ve seen. My only major deviation would be Eeth Koth. I think you placed him too low due to his lightsaber skills, but he puts up one of the best fights against Vader post Order66. So think he should be B tier along with Agen Kolar. Loving the content🤙
