Hey guys! We realized we made an honest mistake with the points in the zoom category- the iPhone shouldn't have received an extra point at 100X zoom. This means it’s actually a tie in this category! However, this doesn't affect the overall winner of the entire comparison.

What is happening to your scoring? In the cases you say Samsung is better, you give iPhone the higher number and vice versa. 100x zoom goes to Samsung, you give it to the iPhone. Then iPhone is praised for better selfies and get +4 as opposed to Samsungs +5. Many inaccuracies.

I like this channel and i am not bias at all towards Samsungs but there is some very big inconsistencies with your reviews this time around. Most of the time whenever Apple does worse it is given just a 1 point less than Samsung yet when the opposite happens (note, im talking about the times when it is clearly said that the picture is not that bad) a 2 point less was given , which seems like there is a sumbtle favoritism towards Apple. There was also a huge issue at the zoom test that flipped the whole score, where it was stated that to achieve that zoom level a crop had to be done yet Apple gets the additional point despite not being abble to achieve that zoom? Dont get me wrong , i know the picture of Samsung aint that much better , but its a Zoom category, and being able to get to x100 despite the pictures being equally bad is nonsensical to not assign the extra point to Samsung (not even saying the fact that despite the wide range of flexibility in zoom you still assign the win to Apple). Plus as another user stated, some pictures were suspiciously worse than what most users get.

Check their pinned comment. It was a unintentional mistake. But they and most commenters only pointed out the mistake they made for the Samsung one where almost no one mentioned the mistake they made for the apple one when they said the iphone selfie was better but the Samsung received more points than the iphone. Also the night photos were clearly better on the iphone with more details yet received less points than the Samsung

Thanks for this comparison. However, I have doubts regarding the math at the end. You assign a percentage weight to each category, but there’s also an implicit weight with the scores you give. For example, the “Zoom” category has a 5% weight, but the scores are around 20, whereas in the “Main” category, there’s a 20% weight but only around 15 points. Typically, the percentage weight is multiplied by the score, and then all the results are added to get the final score. In this case, I notice an imbalance in the overall weighting. To exaggerate my point, if "Zoom" has a 5% weight but a score of 100, it will end up having a significant impact on the final score. This would work better if all the scores were on a scale from 0 to 10. Sorry for the long explanation, just wanted to share my thoughts. All the best,

Some interesting results here. I'd say the iphone actually performs a bit better in low light, but the S24U totally smashes the iphone in zoom from 3x upwards. Samsung has a 3x lens, where the iphone is deep into digital zoom and at 5x is higher resolution, maintaining the lead beyond 5x.

I tested both the 16 pro max and s24 ultra at the store many days ago and I still think the s24 ultra is way more fun to use like my s23 ultra. The s pen w gestures and sound effects , multi tasking, open operating system, way better display lightyears ahead corning glass no reflections, good lock, customizable ring tones to songs for free , emulation at a higher level w no limitations, Samsung TV ecosystem etc . I'll wait for the s25 ultra. I think Xiaomi , Huawei, Honor, Google, Red Magic, and Samsung are far ahead in innovation. For me I left Apple years ago because it has too many limitations in comparison. For me I can't live without beinf able to download anything, edge panel and copy and paste clipboard, stylus support, no foldables etc but some things like imessage and consistent video quality, AI personal voice and iTunes few things here and there are implemented well but android is just more fun for me these days.

Why is zoom less important than portraits? It might be less important for you and your makeup! You can tweek your portrait in post but if your device don t have the zoom capabilities you can t do anything! (Unless you have a pixel and activate zoom emhance) 😬

The disabled scene optimizer would be a big disadvantage for the S24U, it may capture less saturated colors, but it makes HDR work greatly affected. If it is deactivated, the highlights look completely burned out, which does not happen when it is activated. It's a very big difference.

It's just so happens that android and Samsung usually have more customization options. And also the option to reduce the processing effects, which s beneficial for other aspects of photography and videography.

This is a clever channel that knows how to get people commenting. More points were assigned to some areas of camera performance than others, which is a big mistake in my opinion, and gives the 'This video is biased' crowd plenty of ammunition . I respect the ladies opinions though, even if I did not agree with all of them. It is good that people feel so passionately about their brand that they defend it vigorously and call foul when they feel it is being cheated. It would be a sad thing if the comments sections of videos like this remained empty.

why in every photo Samsung look like washed pic but in mine it looks good well lit in my camera test. I also see some kind of redness in Samsung photos does the camera processing differ from region?? Time to switch to sony A6700 :)

I'm questioning that as well. My photos look great, yet on videos such as these, somehow the photos on Samsung look washed out. Tbh, it wouldn't surprise me if somehow they intentionally found a way to purposely take bad photos. This isn't the first time this has happened.

Before I had faith in your channel, I used to compare mobiles, earbuds, and headphones before making my purchase decision. But now that I have witnessed the biased behavior, you have lost my trust and the trust of many others like me. Even when Samsung is leading, you give points to the iPhone. Everyone else believes Samsung is far better than the iPhone in Portrait mode because Samsung provides DSLR-like depth blur, while the iPhone provides a strong blur all around the subject. However, you still made the iPhone the winner in this category. Samsung has 100x zoom. You cropped the iPhone image, even though the Samsung image was visibly better. s24 Ultra has better cameras.....But iPhone's produce the best pictures and videos overall (if you average out all the pros and cons of each in their respective categories). It just goes to show that you can have the best hardware in the world, but if your optimization and hardware/ software integration isn't at the top of it's class, it doesn't mean you will come out on top. This is why even though the s24 Ultra has a whopping 5000 mAh battery, the iPhone Pro Max still beats it in battery tests on You-Tube ever since that iOS 18.1 update (s24 Ultra was only beating the iPhone Pro Max in battery tests *before* that new update). Apple: Does more with less Samsung: Does less with more Never be impressed by specs, only real-world results.

@@JAYJAYBEBE not by much. There is just like a 1% difference. Its just Apple's sensor is 1/1.26 and Samsung's sensor is 1/1.31. It doesn't really matter these days. Only thing iPhone has an advantage is thw LIDAR scanner which helps to get better portraits than Samsung.
