Yeah, its needs to be talked about more. Never faced any network issues, heating is normal as 8 gen 3. Phone is snappy, camera has no comparison right now, the only con is battery drain while using cameras. Which again is normsl because the kind of tech it offers is unparalleled. Plus 100 watt wired charging takes it to 100 in 30 mins. Im overall happy with vivo this year. The camera is something else. U gotta try it in person to know how great it is.

Mediatek may not offer superior ISP or Modem but outside benchmarks, the Dimensity 9300 in the X100 does well with a slightly lower temperature than the 8 Gen 3 in the S24. Really shows how the system's behaviour in benchmarks differs from real life usage. CPU demanding tasks are better in the 9300 because of its CPU configuration, made obvious by that Bloons game.

@@briann5326 experience is great I highly recommend sticking with the plus since the standard S24 battery is not so good. Exynos performance is great since I came from SD 7+ gen 2. The only complain for the device is the over process picture from the camera + galery app, even tho I managed to work around it by using pro mode instead.

Something essential is missing. Numbers on paper all good and find but only numbers do not show how fast a phone, pc or tablet is. You can have googles cloud servers, if they’d run on a bugged and crappy os, they wouldn’t be faster than my Casio calculator. And this fact gives Apple devices a huge lead. iOS is perfectly lean, runs smooth as melted butter and works more efficiently with resources. And the real work outcome is, that an iPhone runs smoother in almost all situations and continues to do so even after years of using, while androids get slow, buggy and crash.

Been using a Pixel 8 for a few months coming from a S21+, I have to say I'm very happy with it. Love the smaller size, battery is great even with very heavy GPS and 5G usage, the experience is crisp and clean, nothing looks "out of place" and the camera is not overhyped, it really does take impressive shots. I loved the Samsung but I managed to get the Pixel 256gb version for 425€ on sale and it feels like a nice upgrade. It may not boast the most proverbial horsepower, but it is quite the charming little mule that packs a good kick.

10:48 I think the reason behind geekbench ML test results being so low on both 8gen3 and 2400 is that this test is relatively new and not that much optimised for Android and the neural networks on both chipsets also haven't released an API yet so the developers don't have access to it samsung is currently just using them to run Galaxy AI. That also explains why Google's score was so low we all know Google's champ when it comes to on device AI. Another thing to note the API for the neural network of dim9300 is out and the developers have been using it for things like frame interpolation in games that's why even tho it ain't that much optimised for Android that chipset scored well

MediaTek is maybe doing a good job but the temps are crazy high(47°C for a cellphone is insane) which makes me think they are just not thermal throttling their chip enough and hence it manages to score better. Happy with my a17 pro. It's consistent overall in my use and very happy to use it seamlessly with my Mac. One most beautiful and helpful thing I noticed was no matter which of my device got connected to a wifi network first I can connect to that network with my other device without entering password. That's something I felt very helpful after moving to Apple.

Big ups for Mediatek, Dimensity is really out there putting on an actual competition to Apple and Samsung… Tho I don’t know why A17 Pro was so inconsistent with the results, it constantly fell in either top 1 or top 5 for each tests, is it capping it’s performance in single-core tasks? Is it the memory? Or wth is going on?

These Phones have different mAh battery capacity so the battery % comparison is not justified. You could show how much mAh these phones drained during the test instead of % to their mAh capacity. Hope you understand what im trying to say.

No. If you see many of the tests, the iPhone completed faster so the wattage needed was lower as the others ran longer to do the same tasks. That is what happens if you have a faster chip. Android fans say that the performance in the A17 Pro means nothing but they fail to understand if it completes a task in half the time, it will use significantly less energy. So not only faster but more efficient. Bearing in mind the A17 Pro is a year old versus the latests and greatest from Qualcomm and Dimensity, it augurs well for the A18 Pro, the real 2024 iPhone chip.

​@andyH_England Apple announces their phones at the end of the year, so A17 pro is direct competitior to snapdragon 8gen3 and for A18 pro direct competitior will be snapdragon 8gen4. There is only like 3 months difference between their releases. September/November Apple to January Qualcomm.

The dimensity is a damn beast in raw performance, whether compatible or not it can brute or force it through. You can see it from it's pretty much consistent performance, all others vary a lot more but dimensity is consistent. Edit: damn didnt know dimensity was gonna win, I commented this beforehand

Regarding the battery draining, the iphone only apparently performed the best, since it s a well known fact that from 100% to 50% the battery will last longer than from 50 to 0%. If you would try this with all devices at 50%, you would see the difference

Dimensity 9300 was the most consistent, well deserved First with LPDDR5T 9600Mbps - world's fastest smartphone memory have shown its prowess in addition to more cache. i own a dimensity 8300 ultra and it's the fastest and most responsive cpu i've ever seen. Good Job MediaTek keep up the good work

It doesn’t have more Cache than the A17 Pro, in fact any Apple Chipset after the A12 Bionic has more cache than the Android chipsets released so far, and the more cache the less DRAM the CPU needs.
