Dave, this weeks episode was very informative. Glad to know that cauliflower florets helps the medicine go down. Satchmo is such a goof ball and is ready to play at a moments notice. The more I watch of your videos, I am seeing more of the intricate steps that you take to integrate the monkeys back into a troop. Thank you and all of the staff.

i like watching the intrication processes. i wish there were more organizations like this especially in light of other videos ive seen ware there is a great deal of exploitations going on at the expense of the monkeys, i find to be very disturbing.

Your videos are getting better, only thing I can suggest is to zoom in a bit more on the babies eg. at beginning when you were changing up the bandage on the baby. But great work guys thanks for the video.

DAVE, I KNOW TAKING OVER KYLE'S VIDEOS WASN'T PROBABLY THE MOST IDEAL SITUATION FOR YOU SINCE YOU ARE THE MECHANICS OF THE VERVET FOUNDATION... BUT YOU'RE DOING WELL!! MY HUSBAND AND I LOVE WATCHING THE VIDEOS, WE COULD SIT AND WATCH THE MONKEYS (ALL OF THEM [THE BANDITS, THE MOMS, THE BABIES, AND THE JUVENILES] ALL DAY LONG) BUT IN THE PAST FEW EPISODES, WE'VE GOTTEN A LITTLE LOST DUE TO THE FACT THAT WE DON'T SEE A LOT OF WHAT HAS BEEN GOING ON BEHIND THE SCENES... LIKE NEW BABIES CAMES IN AND THEY HAD ALREADY GOTTEN FOSTER MOMS, BUT WE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHO THE BABIES WERE OR WHAT THEIR STORIES WERE!?? NOW ON EPISODE 16, WE SEE DOBBIE AND KARLA, BUT ONLY 1 FOSTER MOM, WHEN 4 EPISODES BACK THEY EACH HAD A FOSTER MOM!?? IF IT'S AT ALL POSSIBLE, EVERYONE WOULD BE THRILLED IF THE EPISODES WERE LONGER... YOU DON'T HAVE TO NARRATE THROUGHOUT... WE JUST WANT TO WATCH ALL THE MONKEYS DO WHAT THEY DO BEST (BE MONKEYS), FROM BABIES TO BANDITS!!!! WE ALL WANT TO BE INVOLVED, AS MUCH AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE FROM THE TIME YOU GET THE FIRST BABIES, WHEN THEY'RE IN QUARANTINE, WHEN THEY ARE TRANSFERRED TO DISNEYLAND, WHEN THEY ARE INTRODUCED TO THEIR FOSTER MOMS, WHEN THEY ARE WITH THEIR FOSTER MOMS WAITING TO BE RELEASED INTO ONE OF THE TROOPS, AND STAY IN THEIR LIVES UNTIL THE END!! FOR US, IT'S NOT ALWAYS ABOUT THE BABIES... WE LIKE TO WATCH THE BANDIT TROOPS AND THE OTHER INCLOSED TROOPS INTERACT WITH EACH OTHER, LIKE ARGUING OVER FOOD, WE ALWAYS WANTED TO ASK ABOUT THEIR BODY LANGUAGE (LIKE WHEN THEY CROUCH ALL THE WAY DOWN, AND HALF WAY DOWN WITH THEIR HEADS LOW AND POINTED FORWARD, WHEN THEY ARE SITTING UP ON THEIR HIND LEGS OR STANDING ALL THE WAY UP, AND WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE THEY DOING WHEN THEY ARE HOPPING UP AND DOWN LIKE KANGAROOS!!???? ALL OF THIS IS IMPORTANT STUFF FOR YOUR VIEWERS!!!! OMG, I KNOW I'VE TALKED YOUR EAR OFF... LOL 😂 I'M SORRY!!!! IF YOU ARE STILL DOING THE PATREON THING, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! WITH HIGHEST REGARDS, TINA MARIE AND BRUCE HICKMAN TINAMARIE0686@GMAIL.COM

Thanks Tina, we try follow the progress of each orphan as it happens and a new event happens in its life, certain monkeys progress faster than others so you may only here about them again later, I also have to rely on footage from the whole team working here and sometimes its not possible to fil everything going on, we do try our best to show the progress as it happens, we still have patreon and you can join this channel to see other video's Become a member - kzbin.info/door/dC0LV2Qi8Rb3E-mDhq7YFgjoin Support this show - www.patreon.com/vervetforest

Among the VMF troops, are there occasional wild births?
@Fe26man4 жыл бұрын
QuantumSpin I’m curious about this too. Not sure what they give them or do to them for birth control, but unless they completely remove certain organs, birth control isn’t 100% effective.

@@Fe26man - there's an older video where they go into detail about neutering the males. Can't remember if they fix all or just some.
@suzithewitch4 жыл бұрын
According to an earlier video, all the males are vasectomized. However, there is the occasional unexpected pregnancy/birth because uh.. life finds a way. (And the chain link doesn't stop a determined Bandit from finding love with a female in one of the VMF troops :) (Edited to change "neutered" to "fixed", because "vasectomized" isn't even a word. Edited again after making a lame joke about "vasectomized" because it actually is a word. I have a strange sense of humor. No one gets it. Not even me, sometimes :)

Suzi the Sea Witch ohh, I see! Thanks for the response!
@gondwanaland32384 жыл бұрын
Saw somewhere that bright blue testicles are vital to male Vervets and their social standing within the group, mateing etc. Because of this they have a vasectomy rather than being 'neutered'.

On the wild births, I assume the babies stay in the troop, would it be possible to get videos of the mothers and babies and how they take care of them?
@VervetMonkey4 жыл бұрын
Will have a look, as they all born at the same time as the orphans come in, I dont always have hands free to film them, we also dont introduce babies if the troop as had births

Who is this new narrator? I don't like him, no offense. The lady it's great! Her voice sounds like she actually cares about the explanation of these monkeys. Not him though, he sounds so uninterested.. Like he's annoyed he even had to do this. No good. I had to mute it to watch it because i kept thinking of it. Ruined the experience a bit. Please get someone that's actually enthusiastic about what they're discussing.. lol..
@suzithewitch4 жыл бұрын
Lyzi Bee, he really does care about the monkeys. You've probably seen him in some earlier videos, driving for hours and hours to rescue orphans and bring them back to VMF, cuddling them all the way. He's just a little restrained (or calm, depending on how you look at it) in his vocal expressions. But actions speak louder than words :)
@Lyzi.B4 жыл бұрын
@@suzithewitch I hear ya. I respect his dedication to the monkeys. Unfortunately, it takes a bit of enthusiasm to be a narrator. He's so monotone. It's as if he's falling asleep while trying to speak, lol. Kudos to him for the work he does with these sentient, helpless babies. I truly respect that. My opinion on his narration isn't representative of his work with these monkeys. I apologize if it seemed that way. It was just my opinion, it's not gospel or anything. I guess it's just down to personal taste/opinion. I hope no offense was taken by anyone. I really miss Kyle. He was so charismatic. His interpretation of their lives & interactions, as well as his infectious attitude & spirit are what made the channel & videos what they are today! He literally inspired people (myself included) & aroused their interest. He has essentially created a following & he did it single handedly with a little help from some adorable baby vervret(sp?) monkeys! Tbh, this is just hard to swallow/deal with. This was (is?) my favorite channel on KZbin.(besides Deadbug, lol.) So yeah, we all knew it was coming. He told us that he was leaving. I honestly tried to like the new narrator. Tried solely because I was happy to see the channel continue. I personally think it would be an awesome idea to show ALL THE STAFF doing what they do, one at a time. Doing clips that show the day to day intricacies & inner workings of the rescue. Shooting clips of the multitude of tasks necessary to keep things running. That way it's never just one person narrating, it'll give depth & dimension while adding faces to humanise the staff to viewers. Idk.. Just thought I'd put that thought out there, lol.

Its Dave, the co founder of VMF. This whole foundation is his doing. If he didn't pick it up when Kyle left to go back to the US, there would be no show. Kyle was obviously a camera personality. Dave isn't, but he's still willing to produce a show and bring in more $$ to help the monkeys. I for one am just gonna be happy that someone took the time to do it at all.

Thank you, hope you have a wonderful day as well, we try our best for people to see what we do and what is happening, I work with animals 24 hours a day I know I wont ever be a narrator's rear end but I do know I will help and care for those that we come across and need it and hopefully Im good at that.
