When we do OPS videos like this, its a simulated ops session with 1 or 2 operators if time permits. We dont film our actual club operating sessions. Our actual club operating session takes at least 15 people to run it.

Why do we stilll see modern locomotives and set ups but still lots of cars amd clothes/outifts from the 60’s amd 70’s. Not knocking this layout- it is superb. Just wonder why manufacturers dont make the more modern vehicles for these sets. In full disclosure I am a complete novice.

Being that this is a club layout, not every member models in the 60-70 era. The videos you see on this channel are mainly produced by 1 or 2 of our club members and they both run modern equipment which is their equipment that you're seeing in these videos. Now, when we do run an actual ops session which is once per month. The equipment used belongs to the club and fits the era. When not in use, its stored in a locked room and placed in a particular order for the next club operating session. We tried to film 1 of our monthly ops sessions and filming got in the way of everything. It really slowed everything down and we couldnt take our time to ensure quality for you guys to watch and appreciate.
