I thought i don't have to watch your video again before i start my bowl (out of braided scraps) and now i know why mine isn't as good - when i was done with the bottom i tried to do the sides by tipping the rope and not the bottom 🙈. But nevertheless it will look really cool once it's finished (i guess) 😃

I made a bowl and some coasters. The downfall was the lint from the cotton rope clogged up my machine. If I do it again I will wrap the rope in scrap fabric.

I guess that's another advantage to using nylon. No lint as far as I can see...

I have a rule I try to obey with my 'gifted free to me' Janome machine. Every 10 hours of 'stressful' type of material I change needles and remove bobbin and do a clean-out dusting. All this just takes a few minutes and I'm ready to go again.
